IMO the money could be better spent elsewhere. You're not going to get 10hp on an otherwise stock head with just a port and polish. 3hp would be more realistic.

I've been reading a few posts over at crsx and they all agree it's completely pointless. There's just not enough airflow through the engine to make it worthwhile. If you did an aggressive turbo setup then it might make sense.

So nobody has done this yet? Had a buddy with a '90 CRX that did it and picked up some good gains from it. I thought we might be able to do the same. Guess not.

I am up for it but I would like to see what the gains would be first. If I could get 12hp it would be worth it.

12hp.....You gotta pay to play I think it might be worth it if it put you over the 200hp at the wheels mark.

Not to mention time for the mod. In my opinion, I'd wait until a decent cam package was out before doing this.

Hence the term "Package", including ECU, retainers, etc.

This thread reminds me of Gran Tursimo for some reason.

I've got some gains with cams (still on stock ECU) in my Prelude. But then I also did more than just cams.
