Philips Crystal Vision (JDM edition 4300k)
I recently placed an order with a company for some new Philips Bluevision H1 high beam upgrades, they substituted Sylvania Silverstars for them, but I have read that the silverstars don't last very long. I was offered the option of the Philips Crystal Vision (JDM edition) 4300k bulbs for the same price. What would you do in this situation? Keep the silverstars? Demand the bluevision, or how are the crystal visions?? Do they produce the best white light, as opposed to the OEM "yellowish" ones? Thank you in advance.

Sorry, but that's incorrect. The K is the Kelvin scale, and is a set/defined colour temperature index used by lamp manufacturers the world over.
Similar to Fahrenheit and Celsius - no one's ºF or ºC is any different from another's.
I suppose you could be sort of right, should one manufacturer's lamp measure 4300K and another's 4350K when tested, but I doubt many could register the subtle difference.
It may need 100 or a couple of hundred before there's enough of a difference for it to be easily distinguished.

I disagree about the K rating of headlights. Not all 5000k to 6000k are on the white side and not all 4300K are yellow. Unfortunetly "Helraiser" is correct, there is no standard they go by and many lower K ratings are superior to higher ones.
