a yellowtop is really the best solution if you got a system. there relaly isnt anything better. just stick to it and its really worth it.

my system is always blasting, engine on or off. it never failed on me

wonder about how long it will last before it gets drained with the engine off and system up?

the advantages of the optima batteries is that they last longer if the engines off and you can mount them where ever you want to

The yellow top is essentially a deep cycle battery. So it wont get damaged as easy as the other batteries when you run them down and then charge them back up again. Other batteries are just made to crank the engine and that's it. So get the yellow if you've got a powerful system.

does replacing the stock battery with a yellow top require any customization or does it just drop in?

There's a yellow top that's a 24R (i believe that's the right size). But it's brand new, it's hard to get, and it's expensive. If you just want raw cranking power look at my writeup for a simple modification to get a standard sized redtop to fit.
