I installed my Injen less than a month ago and i absolutley love it. The sound is great and it looks very nice in the engine bay. Have had nothing but compliments on the sound and look. ALso, its a very easy install to do on your own. Here is a link to the install: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=Injen+install

the cool thing about the injen intake is that you can switch from a cold air setup to a short ram whenever you want. the aem is only short ram

Injen is the best choice among the two since you could go short or CAI. Icebox was my own personal choice though.

you should search im pretty sure this has been discussed!!!
but k&n i strongly believe in ftw.
you dont loose any low end power since the piping is a little smaller.
and it uses all the stock mounting points
comes with a dry charger [others dont]
and is only loud at wot
i crushed my intake in my wreck
and i went back to autozone and went ahead and ordered a brand new one..

Your intake dosn't look short?I thought AEM were short? That goes all the way into wheel house. Or am I wrong?

So thats the K&N. Looks like less bent tubing from throttle body unlike Injen.

If you have the money, as has been said, the Injen is better value because it's a SRI and CAI in one.

I have had my Injen running in CAI since last November and I love it.

I like the injen a lot more than the other intakes. I would say, go for the Injen.

+1 for Injen. I have had K&N on other cars and I like the craftmanship better with Injen. It also has the benifit of being a CAI and SRI!

Never had a problem or heard of a problem with the Injen fitment, personally.

I'd say go for whatever you can get cheaper out of: Fujita, Injen, K&N, or even the Comptech Icebox. Forget about the AEM, as it's WAY overpriced and only sold as a short ram. At least the rest (minus the Comptech) can be used as Cold Air or Short Ram, depending on your preference.

Edit: I have the Injen and absolutely love it.

Fujita, its the cheapest and will yield almost identical gains compared to the injen.

Injen is a great setup and probably the most popular CAI.

i have an icebox, but if i had to choose, i'd go w/ injen.

but among the CAI's, i think i'd go w/ K&N. i want a red one.

what are the differences here between the K&N, Injen, and Fujita in terms of performance. I don't care if one can be switched to a SRI. Just wondering why everyone here has such strong preferences over one or the other. I personally just purchased a fujita cai bc it was the cheapest and I read that the gains compared to the injen are nearly identical.

from what i've read, the injen and fujita output are about the same.

the injen vs. the k&n output is maybe around 2HP higher as per the dyno in favor of injen. i think it's b/c the diameter of the pipe for injen is bigger so there's better air flow? the k&n has a smaller diameter, so there is a slight difference in gain, but it doesn't lose as much low-end torque vs. the injen.

someone can correct me if i'm wrong. this is just what i've gathered from threads and their respective websites.

They're all about the same. Whatever differences there are, they won't register on the butt-dyno and are pretty much the margin of error on real dynos so it doesn't matter

Very well said. Basically any of the major intakes including Comptech, are positive over stock, and within the margin of error amongst each other. Everyones' car is slightly different, and everyones' dyno results are slightly different, everyones' altitude is slightly different. To think that an intake is much better than another because of a negligable 2HP difference is insane -- get whatever one you like at a price you like, and enjoy the upgrade.

See if you can find the older style Injen. It converts between short ram and cold air and is $40 cheaper than the current "new" ones which are basically the same. I got it and it's in short ram mode now. AEM is overpriced.

I think the MR is the new one. Look for the RD intake, and ask Excelerate if he has any

MR is still good. i think they changed some minor things like placement of the temperature sensor so it doesn't pull on the cord
