Why is everyone making such a big stink about the Dyno Jet. The readings are going to be a little more higher that's it. The mustang dynos are better for measuring TRUE performance gains. The mustang dynos take into account road friction and tire fricition as well hence why your numbers are generally more realisitic and little lower.

But they hold less validity

I would rather have true lower estimated numbers than unreal overstated numbers:

i.e.-DC Sports says 11.7whp from a header

in reality-5.88whp

an example Scion tC

No kidding. Using inertial resistance to quantify driveline output, as with a Dynojet, might look great on paper but it is inferior to a Mustang pull in every way possible for the reasons you mentioned. Higher numbers don't mean shit when they're just that much less accurate a depiction of how hard your tires are actually clawing the pavement. Dynapacks always get crap for being unrealistic for the same reason. Sure, they'll yield more impressive numbers, but who the hell cares how much HP you're putting down at the hubs? Last I checked, you need wheels and tires on at least a few of the corners in order to get anywhere.

I'm going to one-up this sentiment by doing all future dynos loading off the flywheel on an engine stand while the PS, AC, alternator and water pump are all being powered by an electric motor off to the side of the bench, and a steady stream of dry, air conditioned air is being pumped right into the throttle body. I'll be the first guy with a 240 (brake) horsepower TSX.

Nope. I spent the money on something else.

I was just kidding around with Dezod. BTW, I hope you know I was kidding Dezod. I understand your post about the reliability of mustang dyno numbers.

UPDATE:

Dezod Motorsports LLC has been adversely effected by Hurricane Wilma. We are left with no power, hardly any water, no phone, no gas, no food. The part of FL where we are located is under a state of emergency. Please bear with us as we stumble through these desperate times. All of your cats and orders will be processed as soon as we can possibly get our bare essential utilities back up and running. Please be patient.

Dzuy, any CEL yet?

I will buy into this, GB or not, but it will also be dependent on whether the cat causes CELs or not.
