lol ! there a lot of threads out there that people have the same problem of the dc sport headers cracking. IMO the comptech header is reliable and because its made of stainless steel it shouldnt crack. It does draw much more heat than a cereamic header.

Suppose I could wrap the Comptech with a heat shield material if I felt like it. As I said before, I'm that guy that would get lucky enough to drop his ceramic coated header and be screwed.

Realistically, the oil pan and cat converter will get damaged before the header would even come close in contacting with the ground, as it sits much higher. As far as corrosion concern, the ceramic coating will protect the header way better than the other un-coated mild steel parts under the car (the ceramic coating is inside and out).

This thread is not about header comparison. I think we have a thread for that already. But if someone asks why people install performance header to go with the high flow cat, I hope the answer is for performance.

no. that wouldn't make sense.

if peak hp was 5000, hp would decrease all the way till 7600.

5000 is where power starts to increase.

MSRP is $329 each unit, install kit is $10 each and shipping of course is dependent upon distance from us in South Florida.

The GB price will be given out via email due to Random Technology's pricing restrictions.

Please email us for a GB quote: paul@dezod.com

Turn around time is approx 2 weeks or so from order.
The price that we provide via email response will include the install kit, and if there is enough interest, free shipping as well.

Please post here for an inital head count, which will be going on for the next 2 weeks or so. At that point, I go over the numbers with Clay letting him know how many systems we need, *production will begin, which will take 2-4 weeks.* Your converters will then ship in order in which it was received.

More info and dynos soon to come. Please visit this thread for more info:

Please post here for interest. Thanks!

What are you guys in cali going to do about smog?
Are you just going to take the Cat off, whenever you smog?

I have a friend who will probably let me pass the visual inspection, but I'm wondering if the CAT would pass smog in Cali.

Whenever my first SMOG comes around, I'll see if I can pass with it installed. If not, I will just swap out the performance cat for the stock one.

Yeah that's my plan too. I'm still not 100% sure if I'm going to do this mod. But then again...I always say that

Did you order one already 3Pedal? Anyway I can check it out on your car if you come up to NorCal anytime soon?

We have quite a few orders that came in over night and today. Spots are filling up quickly....

The cats will take 2-4 weeks for RT to make. They may be done sooner......

Warranty is honored by RT, but you must have filled out and returned the card the will be included with the cat. I believe it is an industry standard for a cat to be 25K miles.
