Hopefully I'll be able to install it before Christmas! It's such a tease having it sitting here whispering "install me"

FUCK ME...I could not get a good reading on the power output because my clutch was slipping. I'll get the clutch worked out and try again.

my random cat shaved .3 seconds off my previous best 1/4 mile run.

i ran 15.133 @ 94.45 mph

on my 19 inch volks.

all my previous runs were done on stock wheels and tires.

i'll post slips later.

yet more proof that the random technologies cat makes a difference.

Here are some of the items we have laying around in high volumes.
JTso's referring to the proprietary Honda flange where the cat meets the header downpipe. I think if you could find a source for those, several of us would be interested in purchasing more than one. For the cat I have on my car right now I sliced the flange off my factory exhaust manifold, as I had already installed a new header...but I don't have any more extras.

I know I would buy at least two, as I'm going to make a test pipe for my car.

Why do you have to wait for the RT Cat to install the Type-II ?

I could probably get it out, but it just looks easier to get at one time.

It was actually easier to install the RT cat with the Type-II in place b/c it just sat on one of the cross beams while we were bolting in the other side.

I got my random cat today and the packaging was messed up and the install kit bag was raped so all the nuts, bolts, washers fell out.. i'm missing a few of them.

In addition, my cat does not have a sticker on it that says "INLET" like the cat in dzuy's pics. Does this go for others as well?

Lastly, I was just reading the warranty slip and it mentions that federal law prohibits repair businesses from installing aftermarket cats unless one meets specific conditions (which I don't). How would i be able to get it installed? Thanks.

1. Contact Dezod about the bolts.

2. Just make sure the fat end of the cat (where the plates are) is closest to the header.

3. Check other and write in replacement.

I just got my CAT in today. Just in time for the weekend. But I am also missing the 2 bolts and nuts. Wonder if its going to make any power. I just have intake. I dont have header and exhaust yet. Do you guys think I will feel an improvement in power with my setup? Thanks.

I would say yes. The cat is obviously one of the major bottlenecks in our system.

Thats cool then. I will install it when I get the rest of the bolts and nuts and post if I can feel any power gains with just an intake. Thanks for the info.

Do I have to get a new gasket before I put on the cat? Or is it ok to use the old gasket? Thanks.

Mine has been on 2 days, driven hard, and no CEL. I had a slight exhaust leak that was corrected today. Great mod.

What header and exhuast are you running?

For those that have done the install. Did you need to spray knockoff on the bolts to help loosen them?

Did you do the install with the exhuast completely cold or was it somewhat warm?

I hit mine with some PB Blaster, but I am sure WD40 would do the trick as well. I used a breaker bar and had absolutely no problems at all getting the bolts loose. The DFW area does not get much inclement weather though, so little salt to crap out the hardware.
