Smile Noob questions about mods

Hey guys. First off i just wanted to say that i have been reading these forums for about 2 months now and researching as much as i can and you guys are awesome! The amount of information that is avaible via you guys is unreal. Anyway, really fast about my soon to be new car....

I am getting a 2004 Automatic TSX for FREE as a graduation present from my uncle who lives in FL. I graduate on June 17th from Drexel and i'm flying down on the 19th to Jacksonville to pick it up and make a little road trip with it. It has about 25,000 miles on it and he just put brand new tires on it for me and had the bumpers repainted cause of just wear and tare. It is an upgrade from a 1989 Chevy Cavalier Z24 with 130,000 miles on it and a transmission that is about ready to kick the bucket. I am STOKED to get this and i have some modifications in mind and wanted to run them by you guys and get your opinions.

Modifications i'm looking to do in this order...
1) Hondata reflash ECU (making an appointment on monday)
2) Injen CAI
3) Headers, DC or Comptech (which ones are better?)
4) Hi Flow CAT (i know nothing about this one....i need help with it and where to find it)
5) OEM body kit
6) 10" sub and window tint
7) then who knows.....

So i just wanted to know what you guys think about my order, and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. All these things are because of you guys so far and i really appreciated everything and further help and info!

Thanks guys!!

congrats! good luck on the trip. i suggest you figure out if you want performance first or looks first. you see, once you start with one, you will get the itch and want to continue. performance (hondata ->header->cat->exhaust, etc.) or looks/sounds (spoiler->body kit->speakers->wheels/tires, etc.). once you figure that out, you will be on your way to a whole new life. i started with little things and now am ready for the comptech sc......

btw, get a Rear sway bar first.

And do some searches for the cat, header, exhaust, etc. Tons of info on them.

If you want scientific proof of tuning, check out vtec.net. They have a ton of articles on Hondata's reflash and header upgrades.

Congrats on finishing school, welcome to "the real world"... I also laughed when people told me that many years ago.

Comptech icebox or injen CAI is my decision right now to go along with the Hondata.....any thoughts?

You want loud and proud (Injen) or silent sleeper (Icebox). Injen will give you more HP at the expense of robbing low end torque.

that seems to be the idea i picked up on from reading the other forms. Thanks for that info!

My biggest decisions were which intake, headers, and to do the hi flow CAT or not. In addition to justifying the cost of the supercharger, which i really like!!!

Your list and order looks good to me. Definitely throw a RSB on there too.
