Sup A-Z...I'm a noob here but not to the game! Was wondering if anyone ever did the SPOON SPORTS calipers upgrade to their cars and if they did what was involved? I have an 'o6 Accord v6 6Spd and my front breaks are trash! I will never understand why Honda made the same Break system for a 4cyl as 6cyl 6spd But I know its the same set-up as the 1st Gen TSX....So the parts would be the exact same for me...
Need some 2.....Good looks!

Not sure if I can help you with the kit question, but they use the same setup on both cars because of the relatively close curb weights of the cars. Having a V6 doesn't raise the bar for your braking system, its weight and speeds the car will be expected to be used at, nothing to do with power. Hope that helps you understand

I'm also wondering about the Spoon calipers too. Never really knew what you needed to do.

If you go to the Spoon website they list the calipers for the CL9/CL7 including the mounting brackets and hardware. Then, all you need is RSX Type-S front rotors and S2000 brake pads. If you're using factory wheels (I'm assuming they're the same offset as the TSX) you need 5mm wheel spacers.

Also, you should note that although you are upgrading the caliper to a 4-pot aluminum caliper, you are reducing the friction surface area (as the S2000 pads are smaller) and you are putting a rotor on that has less material than the stock disc. I have read reviews that have confirmed that there isn't a "night/day" difference between the setups. Where you notice the difference is with track applications.

Not to be critical, but as an FYI.....

Break: What can happen to a glass when you drop it

Brake: The thing(s) that stop your car (hopefully!)

But that Depends on how aggressive your pads were too... Plus I don't even tend to use steel lines if I don't have to! But as long as I stand out far from these other 7Gen's, Its well worth it!

These calipers are bought because they are jdm and people think it makes them cool cause they think they are only ones with them. Noone buys these for the performance gains, just for the looks, attention, and to make themselves feel special.

They do look nice tho.
