Need advice on performance mods
#3
Number one mod if you can afford it is some new tires:
225/45-17 summer tires(toyo proxes t1-s or pirelliz pzero nero)
and some lighter wheels. Will make a big difference handling and acceleration wise.

But as for performance mods. intake is cheapest way to get HPs. Rear sway bar is a must if you drive spirited like me .

a short shifter only decreases the travel you need to change gears...this is at the expense of the synchros (slamming it in gear faster) and most mfgrs will void the warranty on tranny damage due to this fact (i'm not even sure honda will warranty comptech short shifter)
~$190 shipped for the injen cai from ultrarev will give you the easiest and best mod you can do and it makes the car sound great
sticky tires help but at the expense of $$ and all weather traction and higher risk of hydroplaning...lower weight wheels make a significant difference but cost $1,000 for a nice set of forged wheels plus changing the tires over (cast wheels aren't very strong and get out of balance quickly after some pot holes)
best bet would be cai and wait to see what a "reflashed ecu" as there is a good amount of untapped potential held back by the stock ecu
