Max HP gain

Max HP gain
I'm not to good when it comes to aftermarket modifs. So, I have a question. How many HP can you gain ONLY with small changes (no turbo or other major intervention) from a stock TSX?
When I say small changes I mean chip, exaust, intake. And do you have an ideea, how much it will cost?

I think Stokeless has the highest HP on the forum with just I/H/E and he's putting around 186hp to the ground. Everyone is waiting for the Hondata ECU to come out to see some real gains.

I thought when they say 200hp, then 200 you have ... it seams I was wrong.
Sorry, I don't know exactly what 186 "real" hp means. A stock one, ho many real hp has? I can make a difference if I don't know the real stock hp. How many hp did he gain? 5? 10?

200 is at the crank, through the torque converter and by the time it gets to the wheels there is a power losee, maybe around 10% give or take a few %

ok, got it. BUT, based on your experience, can you give me a rough estimation regarding the gain with the elements I specified above? I'm from Romania (Europe), I'm on the waiting list for an Accord (European Honda) and I want to have an ideea. I can't wait ... can you add something like 20hp?

This means kiss goodbay the warranty ... and it's 3 years here. Plus that it's major altering. I was curios about the "usual" upgrades: cip, intake, exhaust.
Thanx anyway.

Stokeless has gained about 16hp from his mods.

CORRECTION hehehe i have "184.6" to be exact and no header at the moment. It was on order when i left but it never got to the shop in time for me to install it so i never picked it up before i left on deployment. I have a 2.5 inch custom cat back with universal mufflers from TCS...janspped or someshiet..N1 style is all u really need to know. and a custom intake using 3 inch tubing and a Tenzo filter...hey it was cheap and it works =) but the dyno was done using a cheexy metal mesh filter i took off my turbo so i might have gained another 1-2 hp with the better cotton k&N style filter. with velocity stack. =) no header Dan gosh tryin to make me look bad =) once i get the header i should be up around 193 whp...going off of Johnny's dyno. Plus im gettin the hondata gasket and will be doing the throttle body mod as well. And once the K PRO is out ill be turbo so yea hehehe i hope to boost enough to put the DAZZ tsx to shame hehehe

184.6 to 193 with a header added because of JTso and his dyno numbers is ricer math. You are always gonna see your biggest gains off of the first component you install. Once you combine and get em all together, you don't always pick up the same gains. To get 15-20 hp off an I/H/E set-up is as good as it's gonna get, and realistically around 15 hp.
If you succeed to 193, I will give you props, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

how do you figure ricer math if he already had intake?i got about 15 just off I/E, im sure i can get another 5-8 more with the header throttle body mod and the gasket...the gasket alone is 2-5 hp throttle body might give me .5 and the header another 3-6 there is my 8 hp.

5-8 w/ Header, throttle body mod and gasket...Maybe I can see that, but just the I/H/E to get the 193, I'm just not seeing it. You have good mods and gains with your cstom parts, why not go with the custom header as well and actually have a better chance at the 193 without the gasket and throttle body mod. It'll only leave you more room from higher numbers.

a custom equal length header will cost too much. Plus the header is only temporary. I am going turbo. Just waiting for the K pro, i have everything else already. Even a turbo manifold be custom made with a sponsor ship from a shop. So yea if i asked for a NA manifold i think i would be pushing my luck hehe a head is only 260 for DC. So i dont care ill blow 260 just to have gains for now and then sell it online later at half price lol.
