Exactly x2, and correct me if I am wrong but the only difference is really the height of the intake now. If you drove through deep enough water (guess it would have to be up to the bumper) you would get hydro-lock with the stock intake too.
If you're in THAT deep of water, you'll have other issues to worry about.

I have black mesh on my lower bumper openings at the fog light and center lower grill. I removed the stock fog light hole covers so now more water is capable of getting to the CAI filter ( also more air when its not raining) . The filter sits higher than the fog light opening so there is not much direct water hitting the filter. Anyway, I purchased a K&N drycharger from the K&N website. The filter itself is oil based to repel water and the drycharger is like a light gortex that breaths yet repels water.
