JDM Pedal Pics -- Late Night Install
Well got home from college tonight at 11:45pm. Spent some time with my parents and watched the tape of my brothers hockey game.
Then being the impatient JDM whore I am decided hey lets work on my car cause I can't stand not being able to work on it.
So here are the pics of the JDM pedals I installed. The dead pedal is upside down from the norm but anyone who buys these will find out that is the only way do to the holes in the carpet underneath the factory dead pedal. Also you have to cut off the pegs that come on the jdm one cause they dont line up. So right now my dead pedal is only held on by a lot of 3m double sided tape but it also doesnt feel like it is going anywhere.
The brake pedal is held on by four bolts that from the front look like rivets cause they are allen screws. The gas pedal on the other hand is held on by six pop rivets that I luckly owned a tool for or rather my dad owned a tool for. You have to drill six 1/8 holes in in your gas pedal then use a small phillips screw driver to make them slightly bigger and I mean slightly. Then just install the pop rivets like normal. I would also recomend marking the middles two first drilling those two holes. Then put the pedal cover on and push two rivets in the holes but dont actually use the tool to pop them. Then take and mark the top two and bottom two holes. This way you know everything will line up. If you are off by a little it is ok the pop rivet tool and the amount of force it uses with flatten out any slight error that would cause the rivet to be on an angle.
Then after doing all of that work all I wanted to do was take my baby out for a nice cruise. Well I went to start my car and what do I find a dead battery. I am not sure why this happened only thing I can think of is that it sat for two weeks with the battery connected and was not started at all. So I tucked my baby back in for the night and now I am going to bed.

I have just mentioned this to her and I need to talk to her more about it. If anything, maybe she can just buy them and ship them to me from Japan.

why cant we just swap the gas pedal assembly? is the MT gas pedal different from the AT pedal? it just seems more robust to swap the whole pedal assembly...
anyways, CCColtsicehockey do you have any pics of the pedals from a distance, like from behind the wheel, just to see how they look... if you can provide some, it would be great...
