Smile JDM Euro R Pedals ***Your creativity is needed!

Okay, I purchased the JDM Euro R Pedals! As you may know, the gas pedal is a complete swap and the brake and clutch seem to be easy to slip on.

However, there is need for fabrication to install the dead pedal. The OEM dead pedal on the left has two clip/inserts towards the bottom and top that snap into openings. The JDM clip/insert arrangement is different and I am looking for ideas/suggestions about how to go about installing it. Your input is very much appreciated!!!

Also, I bought the JDM Type-R 6 -Speed Knob...tell me what you think!

i have those pedals and still havnent gotten around to mounting the dead pedal yet either. the gas pedal has to be taken apart at the top of the pedal and reatached to the existing bracket b/c the jdm bracket is backwards. the clutch and brake just pop rivet on. i grinded the tabs off of the dead pedal and pop riveted to a piece of 1/8 inch abs plastic that i died gray to match my carpet. i just have to mount it now. im prolly gonna use stainless steel screws that way they dont rust and i can remove it if i ever have to pull up the carpet to run wires. good luck with the install.

The brake and clutch pedals came w/ three thing-ama-jiggies. What are those for? Also, do you have any pics of what you installed thus far?

Those are pop rivets. You have to remove the rubber pads, then lay the covers on and mark the 3 holes. Take them off and then drill out the holes. Use a drill bit that is the same size as the big end of the rivet. Then use this:rivet gun to install the rivets on in the pedals. On the gas pedal you only change the bottom half. It’s still easier to remove it though. Remove the underside of the dash. There are 2 10mm nuts on the fire wall that you have to remove. Unclip the throttle wire and it should come out. There is a crush washer on the end of the pin that connects the top of the pedal to the black rod. Take it off and just switch the bottom half, then re-install it.

Wow...that looks really good! I can't wait!!! Thanks a lot for the info, it is going to be very helpful when I install.

So for the gas pedal, you essentially replace the OEM rubber piece with the Euro-R Metal piece?? Do you need to unbolt the OEM bracket at all?

you should have gotten Dan Martins shift knob, it's much better looking than the JDM one IMO.

I like Dan's knob as well, but I wanted something that had the numbering still on there to give it a slight stock look.

Not to this thread but they will be offered with a laser engraved shift pattern.

Anyhow, I like the JDM knob too...

If it was my car, I wouldn't install the mis-matched deal pedal. It's not even the right shape. Instead, I would buy one of these to match the gas pedal.

the new civic si seems like it might have the same pedals. anyone else notice this???

itd be interesting to see if they are the same, then we might have a quick fix for the dead pedal issue and it might be cheaper than getting the actual jdm ones!

What about these?

Anyone know what the Honda P/N is on the dead pedal for the US S2000? They look like they're made out of the same exact material...

You could always pick up the JDM set, and then pick up just the S2000 dead pedal for a better fit. It's probably an expensive venture, but

I know the pedals are expensive as hell, but IMO, nothing beats the fit, finish, and look of OEM. Just my

Here's the part number: 46992-S2A-010

It seems like a direct fit, although it IS a little funky looking for the TSX interior.
