Injen or K & N

I am planning to get an intake but not sure which one is better between Injen and K&N. They both cost about the same and almost have the same results.

Which one whould you recommand?

HUH?

Injen is a cold air intake system with piping with a filter on the end and a K&N is just the air filter replacement that is better then the stock....
Difference of about $175...

K&N HAS a cold air intake system, which is called Typhoon.

Personally, I go for K&N since I've always had good experience with them, but then again, I never used injen before...

there are dynos on the k&n site. it puts out about same power gains as injen, maybe 1-2 hp more. i don't remember off top of head. i think it was like 12 hp, i don't think they have a torque curve posted.

price is around $200.

i think i am gonna get a k&n, unless aem comes out with a V2 CAI.

This is the dyno fromt he k&n site, looks nearly identical to the injen from what I can tell which is expected since they both use k&n filters and are tubes dropped down to the same location. If the k&n or injen ever get carb certified that will be the one I go with.

currently i'll suggest do a KN filter and KN typhoon combo, or be patient and wait for the AEM CAI, and c wut it comes out to be^^
AEM will put TSX CAI on their production line eventually (a reliable technician gave me this inside info, should b true)

Oh wow...i stand corrected. I haven't really heard anything about KN. most people on these boards have Injen it seems including myself.
but i do like the look of the KN...and if it has better gains then the Injen...go for it

Thank you to all of the inputs. I am still undecided but I guess it all depends which one I can get a hold of first.

I will be in the LA area in two weeks. Does anyone know where is good to pick up either Injen or K&N Typhoon?

If you do please provide me name and #.

Thanks again.
