Thumbs up Injen installed!! Exhaust next

Ok, another Injen has been installed. Between myself and a mechanic form jaguar, it took 1 hour and 15 mnutes for total installation. It went very smooth(didnt take the bumper off).
First impressions are pretty damn good. Love the sound around 4500-6000 and their is a definate gain in Hp/Tq. Low end power feels the same but at 3/4-a noticable gain. In my opinion, the CAI is the perfect starting mod. We also drilled out the grooves in the fog light cover to get some direct air to the system. And with the recent cold crisp air in New Jersey, the CAI is roaring. Very happy with it and anyone debating to get one....go for it....10-12 HP for $191 !!!!

During the install, the mechanic and I were checking out the restrictive stock exhaust system. After a quick discussion, we are going to do a custom setup with straight 2 or 2 1/2 inch pipes, a high flow cat and the stock mufflers....and (if my buddy can do it) a custom welded 4-2-1 headers. This guy can do anything. I can`t wait to start the next mod!!!

Any questions, feel free to ask.

why keep the stock mufflers? It'd be kind of pointless to have the better flowing exhaust and then keep the restrictive mufflers.

The mufflers are being kept to save money for now.....but will be altered later. And to keep the noise down

I see. When you dyno it are you going to put the stock one back on and run it with that then back to the injen so you can get acurrate numbers? Just curious.

How much does the dyno in englishtown cost per run? where you located in NJ. i am in jersey city. i'd love to get together and compare notes. also be nice to have a set of hands to help with installs if you are interested.

i was also thinking of adjusting the air damn cover to get some fresh air in when i install a CAI. damn you for beating me to it.
