Injen CAI places filter against the splash shield - normal??
I was cleaning the Injen CAI filter this afternoon and upon re-installation I noticed that the filter, once installed, would be resting against the wheel-well splash shield. About 15-20% (guesstimate) of the filter would be obstructed by the wheelwell splash shield by actually touching it.
I was wondering if anyone else noticed this as well. Also, any idea if there's a part, available somewhere, somehow, that would angle the filter 45* towards the front of the car (like a 45* elbow of sorts) and as such, bring the filter away from the wheelwell splash shield.
Anyone know? Truthfully, I don't "think" performance is affected by this, but once I saw it, I can't help but think that potential airflow is reduced, thus, the CAI effect is not as much as it should be...
