just wondering is the injen cai carb approved. if a cop was to pop my hood and see the injen cai in there, can he give me a fix it ticket?

it depends on the state you live in i guess. i don't think a cop is allowed to pull you over for under the hood items unless it's a blower or scoop that is 3" above the hood (i may be wrong about this). besides, i don't think most cops could tell the difference in the sound between the oem intake and the aem intake (even though we can). i've been pulled over with an intake in my saturn and it was pretty loud, but never got a ticket for it (got a speeding ticket instead, goddamnit).

in california i don't think they don't allow it for smog tests though. i went for one with it on and the tech told me he couldn't perform the test without an oem intake. so i had to reinstall the oem one (glad i kept it) and take the test. maybe you can and my tech was being a bastard, who knows?
