Ingalls ETD should be available to anyone now

Some people may have known I have been running the prototype ingalls etd for awhile now. This week I went and picked up the production version so this is the same version you should now be able to order. I did'nt talk alot about it or show any pics out of respect for their development process but now that I can here goes. My tsx is bone stock 04 6mt and let me tell you this is a great functional mod, I can really feel more what the chassis and suspension is doing. Also clutch modulation is surprisingly improved alot due to the motor not swinging ballsack everywhere. Cabin noise is alittle louder due to the direct connection to the chassis, but it really doesnt bother me. At cruising speeds transmitted noise to the cabin is the same as stock. So everyone I've seen mention about waiting for this call them up and order one. Tell em Mark sent you, not like you'll get a discount or anything tho

BTW I did not resize so you can zoom in and see for yourself this is the real deal.

crap thats way bigger than it needs to be, i'll resize the file and re-upload to my host. Also forgot to mention the nice benefit of partial throttle, you know that rocking feeling like the gas is either on or off at real light throttle (due to the DBW) well this suppresses that ALOT.

Its an engine torque damper, its a supplement to traditional motor mounts that lets the motor be dampened in its movement just like the shocks on your car dampen the ride over bumps. Theres lots of side affects like I mentioned above, the main purpose is to almost fully eliminate wheel hop on FWD cars like ours.

It's about time!

Btw, you might be able to switch out the internal bushings or make certain adjustments to lessen the cabin vibration.

I'm curious how much thread is left on the strut bar mounting studs after installing the ETD bracket.

So this will help you get less engine movement on a shift?
I wonder if this would clear the tensioner on my SC setup

Q: What does the Stiffy ™ Engine Torque Damper do for my car?
A: The design of the Stiffy ™ is such that it prevents the engine from violently moving in the engine bay. This reduction in engine movement also reduces wheel hop and improves shifter feel.

Q: Why is wheel hop a bad thing?
A: Wheel hop is the result of the engine and transmission not being able to transmit the power to the road. The negative is that not only are you not getting the best possible traction, you could be damaging the suspension and drive train of the car.

Q: How does the Stiffy ™ ETD improve shifting?
A: The added rigidity of the engine will allow the shift linkage and shift forks to respond to your inputs much more precisely. This improves shift feel as well, reducing the chance of a missed shift and a noticeable improvement in shift engagement.

Ingalls just released for the FG2 and FA5 Civic Si. I assume this one must be similiar to that. I will call Ingalls to get pricing but I assume it will be close to the pricing of all their other Stiffy kits. If so I will be able to do $150 shipped.

This part should be released in 4 weeks.

Just for some general info:

These Ingalls Engineering Stiffy engine torque dampers are self-contained elastomeric shocks that mount on brackets between the engine and the chassis. The Stiffy dampers reduce extreme engine movement and dampen the motion, providing many benefits, including:

* Improved off-the-line traction
* Reduced wheel hop
* Improved vehicle stability
* Smoother shifting
* Reduced shock loads on driveline components

If I can get 20 guys together I can do some slightly better pricing. Let's get a list together.

Can we get a shot of it from the other side of the engine bay? I would like to see where on the engine it is mounting to.

And Excelerate, put me down for a maybe. I will decide for sure once I see the shot from the other side of the motor.

I'll snap some pics if I have time between getting off work and heading downtown tonight. Otherwise I'll be in the garage most of the day tomorrow so I can grab some then.

Yep, you know I that I do...haha

Here are my big Q's:
Will this clear the tensioner in a SC setup?
Will this still fit if you have a Neuspeed Upper Strut Tie bar?

waiting for JTso decision on this one since I have his custom one that is pretty nice in my opinion and dont really want to buy a new one if there isnt improvements over his design.
