Impressions of the INJEN CAI
I purchased a used intake here locally, couldnt resist the offer so I bought it..
Installed late last night, referencing wolf's detailed instructions. (Very Helpful.)
That one bolt, was such a pain - no space, no movement and very difficult to get at.
Went slow and finished in a couple of hours.
Awesome fitment, and a generally easy install.
Took the car for a late night test run... and wow. Now I know why you guys are so bonkers over this...
A great sounding intake with varying degrees of resonance, depending on gear and throttle position.
1st - Deep, throaty sound in the mid range rpm. Then gets raspy after. VTEC engagement at ~6K, a noticeable hiss is apparent. Interesting.
2nd. - Deep sound again comes mid range but stays longer until vtec crossover. My favorite gear to be in.
Gas mileage will unfortunately go down, as I noticed my average speed has significantly increased around town...
Did notice a slight inmprovement in acceleration in the midrange rpms - it was cool night so perhaps that helped a bit.
All in all, I am pleased with the intake. Hopefully the modding bug doesnt get me..
