Relax. He does have a point. You are calculating your MPG manually right? If you're relying on the nav system to do it, it may not be as accurate as taking the numbers and punching them into a calculator.

Yeah, 15 mpg is way low. Even with my SC setup, with more fuel pressure, driving WOT all the time, I've never gotten that bad of gas mileage.

 

Well, on Friday Sept. 1, I go dyno the Comptech I/H/E, RT Cat, Hondata Heatshield and Reflash. BTW, my mileage has actually improved. I think my ECU had gone bonkers or something prior to the reflash.

If you're going to make fun of someone out in the open at least make sure you spell your words correctly. Because If you think he sounded like a complainer now you look like you can't spell correctly.
Another thing, leave the guy alone. Who says you can't have a car with performance and pretty decent fuel economy? There are plenty of cars that can perform that get decent mileage. Your analogy with getting a Prius is a little extreme. So basically if you want a car thats OK in gas then by your rationale you should only get Prius'? I guess you can either get a Dodge Viper or a Prius huh? You can uprgrade the performance of your car and still get good fuel mileage, there's no reason to jump on him for being a little worried about fuel consumption after only installing a Hondata, because if you knew something about the product you'd know that it in and of itself is not meant to really degreade fuel economy. It's not like he turbo'd a Hummer and then complaing of fuel economy.

 

My fuel economy got better by 2mpg min. I think by having all the components that Hondata used to tune the ECU (which I had before the reflash) and then killing off anything stored in the ECU, my mileage went up.

 

nice! The reflash is something I'm heavily considering...well not so much considering as waiting till I have $650 to burn. I'd like to start with the reflash, but want to move to headers as well. I know DC has corrected their weld problem, and they're affordable, but I've seen Maxim Works also, and I know their a buttload more $$. But since I'm not exactly trying to set the land speed record here, I'm sure I'd be fine with the DC headers unless can tell me otherwise then maybe I'll look elsewhere. Also, considering the Tanabe exhaust....kinda want my car loud, but not ricey...decisions decisions.

It's also not a forum for bashing people. This is to help and educate people isn't it?? or did somewhere down the line people forget that? If that's not what this place is for then someone let me know because I guess I'm the wrong place. If you don't have something legitimate to say then don't say anything, he was obviously posting a concern of his hoping to get some valuable feedback, not criticism from a guy who thinks you can have performance......or a Prius. All I'm saying if you're gonna call someone out because you're so "great", then at least make sure the words you use are in english. I'm not gonna listen to someone who'se insulting me if they cant spell words correctly...kinda waters down the validity of what you have to say.
