Actually, all those different cams he mentions up there are for any K series application, whether its a stock k24a or k20a or a hybrid. There are 8 TSXs running in the Grand Am Cup, all of which are running this Hy Tech header, spec I engine kit, and utilizing a hondata k-pro. If you do some research on k20a.org you'll find some dyno's and useful info- Roger Foo's Grand Am TSX makes just shy of 260 HP at the hubs.
The only problem us street TSXs have is the unavailability of a practical k-pro- without it we can't utilize any off these goodies.

I decided to compare the Hytech setup on the Grand Am car with yours:
Shaang's setup:

GAC ST TSX #188 car (courtesy of jimmyc):

Is it me, or do the primaries go much further back on the Grand Am?
I think there would be a quite few members here interested in a Hytech "Stage I" for the TSX that would include full exhaust and reflash (or Kpro).

The Grand am TSX's have the same header as my set-up, only difference is that theirs runs no cat and become a 3" straight through to the back. They also mount differently onto the car, and have less ground clearance than on my car.

Hopefully, Hytech got all of the dimensions from your's and Doug's setups. This way, it won't have to take a week to get an exhaust fitted properly.

I should add that this exhaust is amazing. I had the opportunity to ride in shaang's TSX a few times. Can't wait to get mine

I get some of that with my current header and CAI. Under WOT, pedestrians on the sidewalk get scared.

Alright guys, just got back from a 1 on 1 tuning session w/ Doug and the 'Hytech' reflash has been created. I'll post the dynos a lil later, but here's a lil sneak preview:
From the regular 04' 6MT reflash to Hytech reflash:
- 19 ft/lbs tq gain @ 4700 rpm
- Peak torque is 191 ft/lbs @ 4700 rpm; gain of 11 ft/lbs
- 16 hp gain @ 5000 rpm
- Peak hp is 210 @ 6300 rpm; gain of 2 hp
Testing was done once again on Church Automotive's Dynapack; power is measured at the hubs

Black_6spd: The 'stage I' you've been waiting for is now ready togo!
Just for fun: I also installed a VTC mechanism modified to 45 degrees. Doug put his k-pro on my car and we did some additional tuning w/ the k-pro and got even more power out of the car. I'll also post a dyno of that later.

Nice numbers. Definitely post that dyno up!
Hopefully you have a couple of dynos.
I'd like to see: Old Reflash vs Hytech w/ new reflash and Stock TSX vs. Hytech w/ new reflash.
Seeing new reflashes and mods for the TSX makes me happy

The K24 is a great engine, and as more people realize it, I hope more and more mods keep coming out for it!

So you put the K-pro and VTC mechanism in your car for the dyno. Did you take the parts back out after or are you still running them?

Regarding $$$ on the Hytech reflash- Give John @ Hytech a call, he'll fill you in. Keep in mind that you need to have the Hytech header/hi-flo cat/exhaust to be able to use the Hytech reflash. The reflash is designed and optimized for this particular set-up.

The 'Hytech reflash' Doug made today does not take advantage of the modified VTC mechanism. This is because the stock ecu does not allow it to move more than 20 degrees. Only w/ a k-pro can it be used. I just have it on my car for any future mods (k-pro??) Since I did have it, we were able to put Doug's k-pro on my car just for the sake of testing purposes.

^^ Yeah, that's what I remembered. That the stock ECU doesn't allow it to be moved more than 20 degrees. I was hoping there was some new solution for this.
Regardless, congrats man. You got one badass TSX. I look forward to seeing your dynos. Thanks for sharing all this info with us

Here are the dynos:
![](http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/wetoddimage.wtdr/wMTI4ODk4MDZzNDEzZGZkMzF5NTQx.jpg)
This one above is of my dyno from earlier in the post compared to the 'Hytech reflash' Doug created today. The increases in power are right where you need it- each time you shift, you land right around where the maximum gains are. The VTEC crossover is now variable; it's between 4300rpm to 5000rpm depending on throttle position.

This one compares the 'Hytech reflash' to full k-pro w/ VTC mechanism modified to 45 degrees. Almost 200 ft/lbs at the wheels!!!
