Hondata Reflashes from Kindle Racing $595 Free Shipping
#41
Sent my ECU out Tuesday morning... it was back at my house Thursday at 9:30am.
I'm in NY. My ECU now has 6,000 more miles on it than the car.
I'll let you know how it runs later.

Ok, I'm back on the road. Maybe it's psychosomatic, or maybe it's that I spent $595, but the car runs much better with the reflash. I notice smoother acceleration through the rpms. It also seems much more responsive. The car almost seems like it prefers to run at over 5,000 rpm. What I mean is that the engine does not seem to be straining in the higher rpms. Very smooth pull between 4000 and 7000 rpm, Plus you can hear Vtech kicking in at 5000 rpm now.

Thrilled with Kindle, Hondata and my TSX of course...

the website says the deal is valid until 4/30, but it seems like people have purchased the reflash since then...soooo is the deal still valid? 'cause I'm considering purchasing this mod soon.

I will continue to offer FREE SHIPPING for the time being, but until further notice, there will be no more giveaways unless there is a huge insurgance of demand, then I will gladly give back to everyone in the form of more free stuff!
If we get to 50 within the next month or so, I will still rebate one reflash, but we are a ways from that number.

I just sent out the package to Hondata today. If you're going to do this mod you should definitely do it through Kindle Racing - unless you don't like saving $. He's the only one offering free shipping as far as I know and it's worth it. Taking the ecu and immobilizer out was kind of a pain but as they say no pain, no gain! I'll post my impressions when I get it back in a couple days. Thanks Jeramy!

I opened my birthday card from my wife a couple of minutes ago and low and behold....the last statement was "Now, go order your re-flash...Happy Birthday!" How cool is she?
My question though: I can't afford to be without the car any longer than necessary. If I ship on Friday, will I have it back by Monday...I live in CT?
Thanks guys!

No. They only do it M-F. I put mine in the mail today and I should have it back on Wed. You could drop it off to UPS on a Sat. and have it back by Tues., but you'd still be w/o the car for the same amount of time.
And I'd say she's very cool! My wife isn't giving me a lot of crap for it, but I did get a million questions.

I am a teacher and school just let out last week. I am borrowing my wife's car for the next couple days. It's not so bad except tomorrow I need to get up early and drive her to work, daughter to daycare, and get myself to an interview.

I worked with Kindle also and Jeramy was great. I took 2 days off work (was leaving for a weekend vacation on Friday anyway)
On a Wednesday at lunch during work I took the screws out and got everything ready to be unplugged. Left work right before 5, took the ecu/immobilizer out and used our kid-hauler to drop the box off at UPS.
Impatiently tracked the boxes which got there on Thurs morn and were sent back out Thurs afternoon. Friday morning around 9:30 AM my re-flashed ecu was back in my hands, and installed by 10AM Friday.
Took it out for a drive even before the steering column cover was back on!

What I did was carpool for two days and then take 1 day of vacation. It was nice having the entire day off right after getting Hondata!
You should do the same thing as LI_NY_1.
If you're worried about being without a car then just ship out right before 5 pm Mon-Wed via UPS. Rent a car or carpool for one day, and then get the ECU back in the morning the following day. I thought it was going to be really bad, but it turned out to be fine.

Can Hondata possible damage the car?
hondata reflash would effectively void the
warranty, so i want to have some level on confidence that
engine failures aren't running rampant due to reflashing.
