Honda fog lights

Hi,

Did anybody try to install the Honda Accord 2003-2005 sedan fog lights on a 2004 TSX instead of the standard TSX OEM fog lights? If they are compatible I'd rather use the Honda Accord kit because of the fog light switch (which would go next to the VSA button).

Thanks a bunch.

Just buy the switch and wire it up.

I know one of the Bay Area TSX owner bought the JDM fog kit from ebay and it hooked up next to the VSA instead of replacing the factory stalk. So I know this is possible. He also wired them independtly from the low beams so he could turn them on or off whenever he wants.

So, those JDM lights fit? I was worried that they wouldn't fit because they have that "euro" style bumper?

Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer to have the on/off switch for the fogs on the panel by the VSA button rather than mounted on the light stalk? Personally, I think it's much easier to access on the stalk itself... you never even really have to "feel" around or look for it... and you could wire it up independent of the headlights if you preferred.

I haven't seen anyone indepently wire it up from the stalk. I think some folks on here tried but didn't succeed.

They are two types ones with the holes that are for the Euro R body kit, and the regular ones that have no holes in them.

Yes that's what was thinking too. The only post I have seen where somebody actually had the fog lights work independently was with the JDM kit. I didn't find one on e-bay, so I'm wondering if the Honda Accord sedan foglight kit would work (they look pretty similar, but you never know).

I have a brand new set of USDM TSX foglight housings only that I don't need. I bought the entire kit and only used the stalk switch and harness to wire my JDM fogs. I'm a big fan of OEM functionality so I decided to buy 2 kits and use the parts from both.

So the point of this is to run the foglihts independently? or just use the accord switch which is in the VSA button panel? You can try getting the JDM replicas from ebay...

Should be pretty easy to get the foglights running independently... I've installed aftermarket foglights, you can always run the wires in the way you want..

btw, if you find out where I can get just the accord foglight switch, please let me know, because the dealers don't sell them independently.

So if I get the Euro R body kit, which fog lights do I need to purchase for them? Is it difficult to install the EuroR fogs and add a switch?

http://boomplustoys.net/jdm_accord.shtml The last fogs at the buttom are those you need (the ones with the holes). No they are pretty simple to install, the switch you can either use the USDM TSX stalk or use a custom button like ilovemyhonda's. BTW sup ilovemyhonda when you wanna meet up to take pix of our JDM conversion?
