brembo blanks are not as good as the oem rotors and i can back that up having used stock, upgraded to brembo blank and then going back to stock.

Could you be more specific regarding how the Brembo is not as good as the OEM? I'm sure other people that are considering Brembo would like to know. Btw, what kind of pads did you use with the Brembo?

Did you go through the bed-in procedure with the Brembos and new pads before coming to the conclusion you have?

they warped SUPER fast with normal breaking. I changed the pads (oem) at the same time and did the break in procedure and they were warped after 3 months of light use. Happened to a buddy of mine too. Went back to oem with no problems ever since!

i have the brembo blanks with Hawk HPS setup and haven't had any problems so far....I can't speak for the people having issues but for normal city/highway driving they were fine...this setup has been on my car for little over 6 months now...i don't track the car or race around town in them....

What was the reason that you switched to Brembo blank from OEM the first place? Most people switch to other rotors because of OEM rotor warping issue. Although I don't believe the "perceived" warped rotor symptoms are actually all due to warping.

I switched because the parts were being sold at a reasonable price and I figured that I should upgrade because my pads were almost done anyways. I had no rotor warp issue before hand. If you have them, that's great. i'm just sharing what happend to me and another guy. I personally wouldn't buy them again!

Nope, I'm still running the original rotors. I'm just sharing with you the high number of reported cases of warped OEM rotors on this forum. Many have received replacement or service under warranty from the dealer, but only to experience the same issue again shortly after. Most people wouldn't go back to OEM rotors if they have to pay for them.

from what i've been reading the brembo blanks with hawk hps pads seem to be good set-up for most people. I think i may go this route.

Were you using the OEM pads as well? Usually rotors from different manufacturers have sort of a "compatibility" issue with certain brands of pads.

i don't have a tsx, but k24a4 accord, which is also afflicted by so called "warped" rotors.

however, i don't think it's the actual rotors warping, more that the stock pads overheat and unevenly deposit pad material across the rotor, causing uneven surface friction, which results in shuddering while braking. Notice the dark spots (probably pad material) and surface cracks;

If anything I'd say the problem is the stock pads more than whatever rotor you use. I believe even vtec.net has mentioned simply switching the pads if you get this problem early on cures the problem. Obviously if the problem is too advanced, you'll have to do something about the rotors.

anyways, i've since switched to hawk hps/brembo blank setup and the problem has never reappeared. There are no more dark spots/streaks, and minimal surface cracks.

I couldn't disagree with you more. I've got 33k miles on my Brembos and they are fantastic. I ran a set of carbon metallics and now running HPS with them.
