Angry grinding and rattling brakes

Ok...i WAS happy with the brakes but recently the brakes have been grinding like crazy especially on initial braking after car starts up. also i think the rotors are warped....alot of stearing wheel rattle abd shake..........with only 8200K !!!!!!

Anyone done any simple and INEXPENSIVE changes to your barkes??? Suggestions??

I had the same problem. I took my car to the dealership and it just needed new front pads. I was at 19,000 miles.

It was all covered by the warranty, which was weird because you'd think they'd try to stick me with tbe brake pads being under normal ware and tear.

Mine started doing that a few weeks ago (~5.2k miles). It goes away after about 2 miles of driving. It only happens when I leave my car parked outside, but doesn't happen after I leave my car in the garage. I'm guessing it has something to do with the cold weather...or maybe the rotors just needs some lovin' from the brake pads to warm up...
