Good deal? or keep looking
I'm ready to get some upgrades for my 06, but my my complete lack of a garage makes it impossible to do the work myself. I recently emailed a local shop that does hondata, and would obviously be able to do the cai, cat-back, headers, and rsb. They're going to charge me the standard hondata price, $595+$30 shipping, but they want $450 to install everything else. What do you guys think of that price?
I also want to get it dynoed and I've been referred to another shop. What price should I be expecting and what should I say hell no to?
Thanks alot.

You can do CAI and RSB in a driveway or parking lot with a $30 floor jack and simple tools (ratchet & socket set, which you should have anyway if you don't). I'm planning to do a header install this weekend in a parking lot with my $30 floor jack and an only slightly larger set of tools (add a breaker bar to the above, basically). Catback should be quite easy as well but I haven't seen the instructions for our car so I can't promise anything.
Also you can get hondata for $595 shipped from clubrsx I believe. I would personally not pay a shop for anything on your list other than dyno testing if you have even the remotest hint of DIY car skills (or a friend who does).

Ya $450 is a bit much for work I know I can do. I was just feeling a little busy. I like to take my time when I work on the car and that's something I've been pretty short on for awhile so I took a look at an easy option. It just sounded good to drop of the tsx, have them send out the chip, do the work, reinstall the chip and pick up. Instead I'll probably just get ahold of a buddy of mine who's got a garage and just do it there.

While I agree you should do it yourself...
$450 is actually a good rate for all of that. As someone who just had his car in a shop (unfortunatly) for accident work, they charged $90/hour for labor. That's 5 hours labor @ $450.
I know it would take me (and a friend) a hell of a lot longer than 5 hours (or maybe 10) to do all those install projects myself. So, if you're feeling bogged down and would want a shop to do it, I wouldn't consider that as being ripped off. I won't say its a good deal, but its not outrageous.
