Extrude Hone the Intake Manifold?
Now that I have an intake, header and exhaust on the car, I was thinking about another mod that is fairly expensive, but may bump a few more ponies out of the 2.4.
It’s a process called Extrude Honing. (Find out more over at http://www.extrudehone.com). I was thinking about sending the intake manifold (actually purchasing a new intake manifold) and sending it out to be extrude honed.
Does anyone else have experience with this technique? Between the new intake manifold and the process, it will probably add up to around $800. And without being able to tune the air/fuel ratio (maybe Stokeless will come through for us soon), it could be a lot of work for nothing.
What do you all think?
Crazy idea?

i agree with stokeless, this isn't a big displacement motor or that high reving, without FI you won't see too much.
Once hondata comes through for us with some a/f and i-vtec tuning it might be worth it, but for now i'd say save your money ior put it into some forged wheels

Save your money tmalzahn. I'm sure it would probably make a difference but just not anything you'd really notice. In time there will likely be all kinds of companies offering custom intake manifolds for the TSX. These will probably give you more horsepower than simply honing the stock intake. Right now there are better mods that deserve your money.
