Exedy Stage 1 Clutch ordered ...looking for DIY/Tips/Advice
So i ordered the Exedy organic stage 1 clutch / flywheel kit from ExceleratePerformance.com and cant wait to get this installed . I plan on installling this myself with some help from a sibling. I was trying to find a DIY and cant seem to find one ANYWHERE. I found a detailed one for a 99 civer EX but I have an 04 TSX. Do I Have disconnect the sub frame. I really just looking for some basic steps to this process to get the tranny apart from the engine. Or if someone has a link to an actual TSX RSX DIY?

I haven't seen a DIY thread for a clutch/flywheel replacement on this board. For those few that have gotten the Exedy package, they've gotten it done by a mechanic. I recall moda_way had it done some time ago, so consider PM'ing him. He's also a Moderator.

Well i got the clutch broken in and its feels great. THe install was a 10 hour bitch, but me and my pops got it done. We didnt remove the subframe ( just loosened it), we didnt remove the shifting mechanisms, clutch linkage, radiator, or intake man ( just removed the bolts) other than that is was a walk in the park....just a 10 hour walk

thinking back..... it was a difficult job. We had fun with this job being a gearhead and all....If you have done clutches / flywheels before i think you would be just fine with some azine help and the help of another person. theres some tight places in the TSX to get to ...so one needs the proper tools as well.

Very nice!
I did my first clutch job on my brothers RSX type S (Same tranny/clutch I believe).. if not, very similar.
Install was pretty straight forward. Didn't hit any speed bumps at all, as I expected I would..lol
However, the subframe has to be removed, shift linkages, etc. We removed the entire tranny, but still not hard to do.
