Euro Accord Duckbill replica lip spoiler

Hey guys,

I just wanted you to know that I purchased a Euro Accord Duckbill spoiler replica from ebay. It is an exact copy. I bought it from user, "thespoilerstore". They are based in Mansfield, TX and the have excellent service and quick shipping. I paid $245 shipped for it, much less than it costs to get it imported from Europe. The quality is great and I had them paint it for me. Check out the link if you're interested.

I checked out the ebay listing and it looks pretty ugly.. maybe because the picture of the
spoiler wasn't painted..

Chris_F 09-18-2006 08:49 PM

doesnt look quite the same to me

$245 is pretty deep, post pics once you get it!

it's because the pic is of a primered and unpainted spoiler, but once painted, it's the same replica of the duckbill. I just received it today, I can take pics of the spoiler, but won't get to install until later this week.

$245 isn't to steep compared to the prices of $600 to $700 to get once imported.

That is absolutely not the same ducktail spoiler found on the European Hondas.
That one from ebay is been there for a while , I remember some member even had installed and had problems having it sticking. Not to mention, it doenst even flow with the rear side panels of the car. It does look similar, but defenitely not a replica. Get the real stuff, or get spoon.

What is this spoiler made of? Is it fiberglass or molded urethane?
If you post pics, can you take a pic of the underside before installation?
Also, how was the paint match?
Thanks

ahh i saw the same one from my spoiler distributor, it costs $80 just primered but i was thinkin g of fiberglassing mine directly into my trunk. im still debating on it though, take pics once its installed, that should help me decide what i want to do.

Is it just a tape-on, or does it bolt on like the real euro spoiler?

civ98 09-19-2006 10:04 AM

Tape-on

CCColtsicehockey 09-19-2006 10:06 AM

damn for 245 you minus well spend 300 and get a real spoon part.

wickedk24 09-19-2006 10:30 AM

Do whatever makes you happy man

KapVu 09-19-2006 04:41 PM

Yeah that is kinda pricy for a replica

CivicEx1998 09-19-2006 05:31 PM

I wouldnt mind spending the money on replicas, but that one on ebay seems to look a little funky and bulky, maybe its just me.

Plus, paint is going to cost $150-$200, the EDM one comes prepainted with factory paint, 1000% match to you car out of the box.

98civex 09-19-2006 07:53 PM

$245 was the price for it with paint...it matches perfectly

Ah, my bad. Although nothing beat OEM paint. Good price...just hope the part is good. Aftermarket wings don't have the best track record in my experience. $670 is a lot for the OEM one, but at least you know what you are getting.
