beats me. there seems to be something different between the AT and MT ecus i think. dont quote me on that. it was discussed in a previous thread - b/c i remember people were complaining about the hondata reflash for the AT came out after the MT.

the hondata reflash is one of most pimpest (nice fake word i made up). it's affordable and is a big improvement over non hondata.

They made it up.... isn't based on anything.

Although I've seen S/C kits and especially turbo kits cost much more than that.

Several of you have mentioned how you would just trade your car in for that kind of cash, as opposed to spending the ~$5K on the CT SC. How much would you stand to lose if you trade or sell?

Let me answer for you: Thousands. Thousands in equity that you have already paid or inequity that you will pay by rolling it into your next car loan. Figure that in, plus the money you already spent on aftermarket parts for your TSX, and that makes th SC a little better pricewise. Plus what better car could you get for the money than a Supercharged TSX?

So Comptech has 24 hours 44 minutes to sell me a supercharger before I can call them liars.

This thread is junked up with all of the arguing. Mr. Steve posted a lot of informative info, but after that it has gone downhill. If you guys want to argue about a price that hasn't been released yet or what the final WHP will be, stick to PM or start another thread about "SC arguments." People don't want to have to sort through all of that.

That said, I'd be interested in the SC, but I agree that its a lot of $$. I'll wait and what kindof feedback it gets once people try it out. Since its a Comptech product, would the dealer install it? Also, would it void anything on the engine warranty (since its dealer installed)?

the only thing "official" about the comptech S/C is that it is not releaed. nor do they have a date when it will be.

Adding a supercharger will generally lower the resale value of your auto substantially. Think about who your TSX resale market is. It's not gonna be people our age, wanting to modify the cars. 90% of the TSX's sold are prolly sold btwn the ages of 30-40, i would imagine.

Not to mention the wear and tear on the car over the years of a supercharger being added. I'm glad u brought this up. Now i can figure $4,000 for the Comptech Supercharger, and $4000 in loss of equity. If you don't believe me, go call Acura and ask if they'd rather purchase a stock car or modified car. Same thing goes for private sellers, unless you just get lucky.

What a bunch of poseurs...

Tons of posts over the last 2 years begging for the release a S/C or turbo kit for the TSX.

Now that one's finally announced, $4000 or $5000 is too much money?

Come on guys, what did you expect?

That's what always happens, especially with Comptech products. Since I see a few former av6 owners on this forum, I'm sure they can relate as to what happened when Comptech finally released a sc for the j30a.

I will not be getting it. Too expensive.

I might get it wayyyyyy down the line... Not know though, I agree completely with the concensus (You can trade your car in for another car that would be faster than the TSX supercharged...)

If your worrying about resale value you probabley shouldnt be modding your car...but if you still insist on modding it and worry about resale value just part the car out...you take a hit for the parts but at least you get something for them instead of nothing like if you left them on the car
