Canadians: Prepare for winter - free Motomaster winter blades!

Just a heads up for anyone in Canada who would benefit from winter wiper blades.

This weeks' Canadian Tire flyer has their Motomaster Teflon blades as "Buy one get one free" (mail-in rebate, but still, its like $16-$28 free!).

I've used these blades before and they are EXCELLENT. We get a lot of freezing rain here in Ottawa and these almost never froze up at all. Well worth it for the safety.

Just a friendly service announcement from me.

Thanks Curls. I don't mean to be an asshole, but I used to use those blades, and IMO the OEM ones are much better and more durable. I'm only at my second set of blades at 209,000km.

But that's just my

Did you like the OEM blades in winter? If so, do you get a lot of freezing rain there, because we do here in Ottawa.

Thanks,
Eric

Well that's no good! Maybe they didnt do that on my Integra because I had those aftermarket wiper springs that really hold the wiper arms down... preventing high-speed lift.

I get the same weather in MTL. I like the OEM blades even in winter. I should change the steel frames to winter design though, but I don't and it's rarely a problem.

But do they have our size. I looked for blades at Crappy Tire once and they didn't stock nor could order blades for the TSX.

Turns out the dealer blades are cheaper anyway. $4.99 apeice.

I was in the US couple weeks ago and bought some Rain-X wipers and they are awesome so far, especially compared to the OEM blades i had. I noticed they now sell those wipers at Walmart in the GTA, but for like $20 (i got them for $8US at their local walmart).

Interesting. Are they winter-blades (covered in thin rubber boot to protect the linkages from freezing)?

If so I'll be in Ogdensburg, NY, this weekend and might pop into the Walmart to grab some.

Well, i haven't taken a closer look, but it looks exactly like the OEM design.

It's good enough for the weather we experience here in T.O.
