C/T Supercharger Belt problems with auto-tensioner

Ok guys, gotta quick question. I have an 04' 6spd TSX with the comptech supercharger and the auto tensioner. Now, from what i've gathered, the regular tensioner requires a 77.5" 7 rib belt (7Pk1970). With the auto-tensioner, the belt is smaller and the size is 76.3"(7Pk1940). Now, I had my supercharger running on a generic 6 rib belt from auto-zone and it lasted about 2500 miles.
So i ordered a new belt from goodyear, the 76.3" one and it's still a bit long. I've adjusted the tensioner the most I can but it's not enough. What else could be done? Is this the correct belt that is needed for the auto-tensioner? The next belt available from goodyear is 3" shorter so that won't work. I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i forgot to ask the guys at comptech this today.

I have a call with them tomorrow if you want to wait till then I can get the answer...I also am looking at installing the auto tensioner...

btw, do you have before/after pics of your setup with and without the CT A/T tensioner?

^^ What up Jason. Sorry to hear about your car man. Did you get things straightened out? Are they going to send you some parts?

That sounds correct to me. It's one size smaller than the belt used with the original static tensioner.

hmm, well i used the goodyear 4070763 and that's the one that's still too short. I had to get the Gates 7 rib 75.5" belt. I installed it already and seems to be a good fit.

from my experience with superchargers in the past, Gates has always been the superior choice. The goodyear gatorbacks have a nast tendency to slip which obviously is bad for a s/c. Ive used both on my centrifugal vortech F trim setup with an auto tensioner and the gates was the one that worked with the least slippage problems
