well, no battery is really for any car per se.
Optima has a 51y or something for the TSX, but it's pure junk.
our OEM battery is a junk size and it's junk in it's performance.
the Optima one the same size of the OEM is also junk.

so you're probably not going to find one that is exactly the OEM size.
you'll probably have to look up the measurements of each battery, then
apply that to the area where the battery will go and just pick the one
that you like the best that you can make fit.

fair warning to everyone:
the 3121, the one seemingly the best for our car, will not fit with the
OEM or the CT Engineering airbox without some trouble/modification.
to get a direct fit, you need to pick a different, smaller battery.

I was thinking of making a special bracket for an ideal TSX battery so that it would not be so custom. Similar to what Password has for the Odysseys:

Well I guess I am going to have to order one, bring my car down, and let you do magic on the fitment of the battery

You know me Marucs, I am always willing to be the tester/fitter for the battery Marcus if you need one

that's actually a very nice custom dry carbon battery relocator/mounting
bracket thing. sweet.

seems completely irrelevant in it's design to what we need though.

all we need is a battery tray, we're not relocating anything really.
something to raise the battery up to give it the proper location, and of course
something to tie the battery down with.

need to find the battery that will fit right in a stock TSX first.
the 3121C is not that battery from my experience.

Optimas come with that plastic tray thing that works out well for our car.
Something similar is all we would need really I would think.

It's a great idea though, I bet I'll be seeing lots of braille cf batteries in
TSX's fairly soon. Their sexiness cannot be denied.

I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of custom mount system you'll
be coming up with.

This one should be powerful enough for sure, and should be smaller than the stock battery:

For sure you can get it installed, worst case stuff a 2x4 under the battery and just use the stock tie down. Or you can get the shorter J-bolts and use the stock tie down with those too.

Don't be too pissed. At least you had enough of a life not to babysit the forums constantly.

Why wouldn't the 3121 fit? According to Brailles website the dimensions are smaller then the stock battery if i am not mistaken.
Length:
6.6"
Width:
5.2"
Height (without posts):
6.8"

it will fit standing up.
it just wont fit on it's side.

if you get the 3121C, you'll want to mount it on it's
side to show off it's carbon fiber body.
but if you get the regular one, you can just stand it up
and turn it around and it should fit.

I believe the sticker will be upside down to get the positive
terminal on your left where it is now, but you can just peel
the sticker off and turn it around.

Marcus, how do these compare to the NRG batteries? Do you recommend one over the other?
