2005 Tsx 5at
I just recently purchased one of these at my local Acura dealership and was wondering what I could do to start off my modifications on the car. I know its an automatic but I'd still like to obtain all of the little things that make the car just that much sexier and or faster. I have about $1,100 in pocket change and need a place to start. I'm looking for performance but I still want to keep the noise level down to a bare minimum so the sound does play a factor. If anyone has any good suggestions on how I could start, post away!

maybe a rsb too.
i think the icebox and rsb are all i'd do, if i decide to actually mod my car.

Just searched online and came up with $569.00 and $169.00 so I got the prices. What kind of improvements am I looking at with these two upgrades? Will they be noticeable?

honestly, i think u should put the money in the area where the car really shines... its handling... i think u have just enough $$ for some coilovers and a rear sway bar, and definitely save up for some summer tires
if you want to go the extreme route, you can get a limited slip differential for the RSX and put it in your TSX
My opinion on header/intake/high flowcat/exhaust on the TSX is that it they will give your TSX more character.... more vroooming, but dont expect too much acceleration/top speed performance gain from them, at least not without an ECU upgrade

do the Comptech rear sway bar first, handling will improve noticeably,
do the Icebox next, you'll feel an improvement in throttle response and a slight increase in pull,
the Comptech header should be next (I would have recommended DC but seems like DC keeps breaking).
Hopefully by the time you install all three there will be a hondata reflash available. After that, zoom, zoom, zoom.

Thank you for all of the input guys. I thought about it for a while and decided that the first thing I'd want to do is what someone before me said, which was the suspension and handling. I realized that on an automatic, there just isn't that much I can do. I'll go with the coilovers and see if I'm still in the money spending mood to save up for the I/H.

05 TSX Auto\Navi
I have a silver 05 TSX Auto with the following upgrades
Comptech Stainless Header
Comptech Cat Back Exhaust
Comptech Ice Box
18" Tire & Wheel Package from Tire Rack
To be completely honest with you, the car doesn't gain all that much power even after spending all that money. Not enough to brag about anyway. Seems slower at the bottom end and faster from 6,000 to 7,000 rpm's, but nonetheless, not worth all that money. Still waiting on Comptech to deliver the Supercharger... maybe that will get this car where it needs to be. However, I do agree with others on here about the handling. You would be much better off spending your money on looks and handling.
