so you took apart a dealer car and mounted the whole arm on your car. how easy is it to get the entire arm off.

IIRC, the arm itself, is typically secured by one bolt. Very quick to remove.

I looked at Delray Acura and Sunnyside Acura... neither currently lists the price of them.

If anyone wants to call their local dealer, here are the part numbers again.

Passenger: 76630-SEC-A11
Driver: 76620-SEA-G11

I called my local deal here in NJ. They said the arms are $70, and the blades (inserts and blade) are $31.00. That's $101.00 per side.

You should only need the part numbers I gave you. I'm guessing about $70 for the pair first time cost.

Why is this soo damn confusing!

The part numbers you have cover both sides, blade and arm for $70.00?

Because even Acura fux up the name. They call the rubber part and the part that holds it "blades". The wiper arm is the part that attaches to the wiper motor with 1 nut.... that you will not need. I'm giving you an estimate of the price because nobody is listing both side yet. The only one I can find is the price for the drivers side and it looks to be $17, so my estimate is off by a lot.

aaah. That's what I was getting from my dealer too. He only had info on the driver's side.

You wont need to replace the arms unless you really hate the huge driver's side arm.

I thought the point of this was to replace the huge arms? am I missing something? I thought the '06 wipers doesn't wipe any better than the '04/'05's anyway...

Correct, the point was to replace the arms and blades to the new low profile setup. It has nothing to do with it's ability to remove water from you windshild (apart from some complaints of splash-back from the larger arms).

I'm wondering what happenned to GRoD, who suppossedly order all of the parts about a month ago. I figured we would have seen his results by now.

Exclamation At 224,000km, here comes my first mod!!

I just got the modification made:

-06 Arms (left & right)
-06 Blades (left & right)
-06 rubber inserts (left & right)

Conclusion: It fits perfectly, no need to adjust the squirts.

Anything less though, and it will fit partially or not at all.

Do you really see any difference or was this primarily for appearance?

I don't have the reciept with me, but it was around 250$ in parts.

Was it worth it? I don't know. I haven't had the chance to test them out yet. My wife had the TSX today, while I was driving the Smart.

Okay, came back from my vaca in Colorado to the delivery of my valeo blades. They fit perfectly, and for $38.00 shipped, it was a good deal. It hasn't rained yet, but using the washers and some dew this morning, they wipe great.

The only thing I do not like, is the arms now stick up even higher. Both sides, due to the high block that the arm connects to on the Valeo blades.

I think I might try to bend the arms near the tip downward to lower them. I know, I know...bad idea. I might just fook them up. Well, that'll be my excuse to buy the lower arms I wanted any way. lol

When I go out for lunch, I'll try to take pics from inside my car of the wipers and show you all how high they poke up now.

Here's a pic of the Valeo's on my 05 TSX. You can see how high the arms are pushed up.

Aren't the rubber inserts totally fixed to the blades? Blade and rubber is one part for what I have seen on 2006 models.

So how difficult was it to change out the arms, what was the process? Or did you have the dealer do it?

I had the dealer do it while they were doing the maintenance. In brief, what I suppose was done was to pre assemble the wiper arms blades and inserts, then just bolt them on to the pivots.

Max 2 minutes. Easier than air filter change.

EuroAccord2.4AT, unless it is different in Europe, here the inserts are replaceable.

Pics will come. I still have the Smart today. And I enjoy the cutie thoroughly. Even in that Blizzard in Quebec City this afternoon.

I've got the Valeos too. They were expensive, but I can say that they're much better in the rain than the stock blades.

I'm waiting to read sauceman's review of the retrofitted 06 parts, because there's no way I'm going back to the standard 05 blades.

Well it's raining ice tonight, so by tomorrow I should have a pretty good idea of how well they fare.

My Valeos came from Amazon. Bought them for $39.00 total for both blades, shipped.
