I love Zaino and all, but does your very first post have to sound like an infomercial?

I use NXT too. Easy to get. If you want a deeper look, then just get some okay-quality carnauba wax and top it up! Unless you are doing a showcar, OTC products are quite respectable.

Thanks. That was also after going through 3 mos of Southern California's heaviest rainy season where i basically didn't wash my car during the whole time up until the So Cal meet. It actually looks even more reflective when freshly Zaino'd.

Damnit! Now I'm beginning to sound like a Zaino infomercial.

Yep, I prefer it for my windows. It dries like a paste but wipes off very easy. No streaks and does a good job getting rid of acid rain etching.

I just washed my car today after I spent 8 hours 2 weeks ago polishing with my Porter Cable and applying multiple layers of Zaino Z-2. Dirt just fell off and a quick application of Z-6 followed by Z-8 and it look like a spent another full day detailing.

Just one coat of Zaino show polish and you get:

2-3 coats and the car is so shiny you have to be careful not to blind other drivers on a sunny day. The shine lasts for months too. The stuff is so concentrated, it takes a little more than a thimble-full to do the entire car. I like that it's a polish, not a wax, so it doesn't leave a filmy residue on the car like wax does.

Polish instead of a wax? A polish is supposed to remove a thin layer of the clearcoat/oxidized paint, that's why it's so shiny because it reveals fresh paint and gets rid of blemishes. However, polish doesn't have any protective qualities. It only makes things shiny. You still need to apply a coat of wax over it to give it the protection it needs.

Has anybody used P21S. I have read good reviews about it but never tried it.
It's definitely on the pricey side.

Zaino throws "Polish" on most of their products because they say they have optical enhancers and gloss additives that make your paint shine.

Z-2 is the real protectant. Z-5 is their advertised polish that really just hides scratches with some kind of polymer fill whatevers. I use other products to polish my car and multiple layers of Z-2 to protect it. No need for wax if you use Z-2. Wax is less optically perfect than Z-2 which is why Z-2 is supposed to "shine" better. I find it's just a matter of preference. After multiple layers of Z-2, cleaning my car is so easy, dirt just falls right off.

I've used Zaino, it's definitely a high quality product. Among the best. I've actually tried Mother's new reflections wax and that is great too. Check out www.reflectionswax.com They have a new line of Synthetic Polymer waxes. The SynWax FX and Reflections.

I am a HUGE Zaino fan. I started using it a few years back, when I got a black car. It is simply amazing on black.

I have also used it on my red TSX and my wifes silver SUV.

What I don't like about it is that you have to have everything removed from the paint prior to application, or it will not bond. On a daily driven car, this is a PITA.

I would love a simpler set up than to have to dawn wash my cars after using some swirl mark remover, etc... and then start the Zaino process all over.

My biggest loves for Zaino, other than the look, are the durability and the fact that absolutely no white residue exists. None around the badges, or on the black trim. None anywhere.

NXT left white crap on all my trim.

Does the new Mothers leave white residue on things???

Has anybody found anything, other than Zaino, that does't cause any white residue???
