xm radio

for those with the 2005's ...i was just wondering how the sound quality of the xm radio is? does it sound like cd quality or close? thanks

sounds clear to me, until I go thru a tunnel or under an overpass or too close to any trees...

thanks..the reason i asked is cause im thinking of getting one for my 04' and i tried my friends in my car using his fm modulator and it sounded like crap...the radio sounded better...i was hoping it would sound as good as cd quality..

It is not as good as CD quality. It is about like a somewhat compressed MP3.

As far as the FM Modulator goes, those things suck ass, so don't do any comparative listening on those. Get the SHOND3 and it will solve that problem. XM does compress their signal somewhat though, and that's why it's not quite as good as CD.
