XM Deals?

I heard that there was a deal for XM radio after the trial period. I thought I saw a thread on this subject. Can anyone shed some light? I just can't see paying $12.95/month for this service. But if it is cheaper, I may consider...

Yes there is a massive thread on this subject. I think it is in the TL section. I just got my one-year renewal for $77. I hardly even tried. XM called me and offered some 8% discount or something like that... I told them it really wasn't worth it (my trail had expired and I was back to analog radio at the time) and said 'no thanks.' Then I told her that I got a flyer for $77/yr and thought that might be worth it but I was at work and didn't have the flyer in front of me. Didn't ask me for any special code she just signed me up. In fact I never got that offer in the mail but others have. I think both companies are so eager to keep their numbers up they are willing to give these discounts pretty readily.

It's an old discount code, but some claim this was working until at least recently:

The $77 a year deal still work. What you need to do is to call them up and tell them you got a postcard offering you a special for $77 a year only good for the radio ID printed on the card (the ID was printed at the top of recipient address), and read them your radio ID. Postcard mailing was done by a third-party company. Phone operators at XM don't know if they really mail you a card or not. Just tell them you got a card.

I wonder whats gonna happen after xm and sirus join together. The price for sirus is higher than xm but sirus is the dominate of the 2 companies. I hope the price stays close to xm.
