Lightbulb Winter Road Diving

Hey Snow Guys and Gals.

Winter is approaching and I was wandering what the TSX handles like in the Snow and Ice. Here are a few questions.

1. How does the traction control work?
2. Does the VSA help on the snow and ice.

Looking forward to some good information....

I've done just fine in light snow in the TSX, and I'm no expert. We didn't have much snow here in NJ last year and it was my first winter with the car, so I didn't get too much experience with it. Snow tires would probably help a lot, but last year I didn't need them.

The VSA definitely helps a lot. The day I took delivery of my car, there was a nasty snow storm. My friend was following me in my Integra with winter tires, and he was having a hard time keeping up with me, especially when accelerating. The VSA was pretty seamless and kept the car feeling very stable.

However, if you're going to be regularly driving through any amount of snow and ice, nothing compares to a dedicated set of winter tires, especially compared to the stock Michelins.

best thing you could do to test out how the car handles so you get used to it is to go to a large open parking lot once it has started snowing and there is some snow on the roads and push the car till it loses traction so you know how the car reacts.
