windshield spray nozzle

i was driving today with the sunroof open and i used the washer fluid and a little mist came down through the roof and hit my face..i thought it was the wind at first because i was driving but then i tried again and it was the same result..i think there was a previous post about adjusting the spray nozzle but would that defeat the purpose of windshield washer? would it be "spraying too low" to actually clean the windshield?

pretty common. Most are aimed so that they'll still work when the car is moving. That whay its blown against the windshield instead of over.
