I agree it was a stupid thing to do but it was really late at night and there were no cars on the road. yes thats a poor excuse for the speeding but its what happened.
As far as the arguing i didnt start anything all i said was how i like the chrome trim it was my preference and that alot of other people i know liked it thats it. Then assholes like to post like they know everything and say things calling it rice saying it sucks when all they could of said was mehhh not my style or not even say anything at all.
i thought this site was for acura enthusiasts not for people who own acuras to tear on someone else's preferences thoughts or ideas to shreds and try and humiliate them over the internet. In some strange way to boost their own ego and make them feel better about themselves and the cars they drive.
IMO this site has failed once everyone started to loose hope in performance modifications becoming available for the tsx. Now that kpro finally came out no one is really doing anything yet. Except for making stupid forums about wipers or the color of their valve stems. this site used to be great for help the people on here werent such assholes about every little thing.

Everyone does stupid things in their cars at some point in their lives. Anyone who denies having sped late at night on an empty road is either lying or is unlike anyone I've met in my life. Get it out of your system now so that when you're older and driving a more powerful car, you don't kill yourself with it.
But just as some advice to you - while I'm sure plenty of people DO things like that, most of them are smarter than to post about it on these boards. It's simply a hot button topic that will, without fail, cause people to dogpile on you for it. It's all part of the internet mentality. Some things aren't worth posting about - risky shit you do for kicks is probably on that list.

Maybe it's because the general population is old enough to realize how stupid that kind of crap is and we'd rather not be killed by idiots who fail to grasp the risk they're running?
Yes, it pisses me off to hear people bragging about their exploits in retardedness as though it were some great accomplishment.

Fair, 145 with 4 people in the car is close to insane, but I have been reading this forum for quite sometime, registered recently, the only thing I can say is that this is an awesome place except that every intervention from LukeaTron seems to make me think he is just mentally not right! Nothing constructive comes out of his posts other than "you r a moron", "you r an idiot", "you don't know sh#$%"... That's all I can say.
Everyone has their days.

One of the main reasons I hang around this site is because I very much enjoy trying to reason through people's mechanical problems. The majority of my posts are in that spirit.
I do however have a very low tolerance for willful ignorance and I will call it out when I see it.
2007CGPTSX, I jumped the gun a little on jumping on your back. The way you spoke about the 145 incident sounded an awful lot like you were advocating such behavior. That combined with your terrible grammar set me off a bit. I still think you're a bit too big for your britches but you aren't as ignorant as your first post in this thread made you appear. For that, I apologize.

I take serious offense to you putting those god damn text message words into my mouth. The only time I've ever spoken/written in such a manner is in openly mocking those would speak/write as such. I take a great deal of pride in my literacy.

Having studied some linguistics and a whole lot of human information processing stuff, the invasion of text message speak into other forms of written communication drives me insane. Language evolves and the current state of written English is the result of hundreds of years of this process. A lot of it has to do with the way our eyes skit across the outline of words.
Text message speak arose from limitations on the input methods. It is considered an acceptable form of communication when the input methods are compromised accordingly (as judged by society's broad adoption of the practice). It comes at the cost of an increased processing requirement to reader. By and large we accept this trade off because of the reduced 'cost' to the sender. However, when input methods are not so limited, it is nothing but laziness on the senders part to continue writing in such a manner. It forces the reader to pick up the mental slack in order to decipher the senders message. The trade off is no longer balanced and instead is just rude, making the sender appear arrogant and self important.
There was a recent study that got lot of press coverage which showed that it takes 50% longer to read a message in text speak. This isn't much of a burden in a short text message but in larger body of text it becomes quite taxing. The reader's comprehension of the intended message was also shown to be significantly hampered.
Properly written English is a highly optimized medium of information exchange balancing the burden very evenly between the reader and writer.

I work in a corporate office 9+hrs a day. The last thing im worried about when posting on the internet is my grammar. The internet is my portal to insanity. as long as you make sense, it shoudnt matter if your grammar is harvard grade or not.
Save your grammar for your oh im sorry you're nobel peace prize thesis. IDK.

please dont respond to this post cuz i really dont care i just wanted to throw my two cents in. if you feel you should form proper sentences and use correct grammar on a website, then so be it, do you. Just dont knock pepople for using slang or shorthand on the internet. Thats gay bro. I dont care what u say or how much percentage of time it takes you to read words in "txt" format.

To 925TSX: Yeah you can post whatever illiterate gibberish you'd like and I'll just half read it and think you're a fucking moron much like I did with your two posts here. It doesn't really matter as long as you don't care that people think you're an uneducated douche. You bear the responsibility of getting your message across as you want it received. If you're just bullshitting about stupid crap that can easily be ignored, there's really no harm. If on the other hand you're asking for help or information, it's only hurting you when people have no desire to decipher your barely legible pile of letters.
In this case I read through about two lines of each of your posts and gave up. What I gather you were trying to convey is that you are dickhead. See how that works?
And yes, I did write that out (how is that even in question?). It's not much effort when you have a basic grasp of how to get your thoughts into writing. It took 5 minutes at most.

2) Personal preference.
So only Civics are allowed to be modded now? Look around here a bit, there are some really nice, classy looking modded TSXs.

In my opinion few are tastefully done, there are exceptions though. It just hurts me when I see a beautiful car get butchered. I've seen most of the cars on this site and do appreciate some. I'll leave it at that and try not to get in an argument.

I tend to agree. There is not too much I would look to do to the outside of the car. The lines/shape/flow of the TSX are very clean and don't warrant too much change. Butchered is a strong word. That being said I agree with anyone who ever said it comes down to personal preferance and you should do as YOU please...not TO please.
