Who thinks all-chrome door handles look better

I prefer the all-chrome door handles on the jdm accord. One of the cons I can imagine would be if it were a very hot day and burning your hand when touching the door handle. The mdx has all chrome door handles so I don't see how it would be a problem on the tsx.

I'd have to disagree. I like the handles just the way they are.

I don't look at door handles as a "featured" part of the car, so I just assume that they blend in or disappeared all-together. Body color is the way to go.

I like the chrome around the windows, and I like the JDM's chrome door handles too. Bling bling!

IMO, it helps the TSX look more upscale than the TL from the outside.

Does chrome really look "upscale?" I think chrome used to be considered a luxuary material, but these days I think it is more cheesy than upscale.

As far as true "upscale" sedans go, the $125,000 Mercedes-Benz S600 sedan and the $120,000 BMW 760Li sedan do not have chrome door handles?

Those wheels on the JDM accord look really small. Are they 16"?

Personally, I'm not into the chrome thing at all. Thats partly the reason I went with SSM, as the chrome accents around the windows and door handles become less noticable and more understated.

I agree, it also helps the wheels to blend in a little better. I am not crazy about the stock rims on the TSX, but they look best against the SSM finish because they don't stand out as much.

That's also the reason I get the SSM. The chrome would blend in with the PWP as well.

I like the handles the way they are. I like them better than all-chrome.

This should be enough reason to stay away from chrome handles (and rw mirrors etc.)

The S600 has chrome on top of the door handles (sort of like how the TSX only has chrome on the actual handle part of the car handle), you just can't see them in that picture you posted (the chrome is on the top of the door handles, the handles themselves are not made of chrome. It's a Mercedes design feature). not to mention chrome lining the side molding and on the bumpers. And the 760Li does have chrome door handles, it also has chrome running the length of the A-pillar and across the roof on both sides, as well as on the bumpers. I think that picture you posted is for a model that is not chromed - some people don't like chrome, I guess. And for $120,000 they're entitled to get one without chrome.

This is interesting. I found another picture of a jdm accord but this time with no chrome around the window sills but it still has the chrome handles. I guess it's an option over there. So i'm assuming its possible for those who may want to replace the chrome can.

That Accord with black trim just doesn't look right somehow. Maybe it's the window overhang thingies, but it doesn't look as good as it does on the BMW picture.

I think brushed aluminum or satin finish aluminum would be cool looking too for the handles. But, barring that, I like the look of the TSX handles over the JDM Accord ones.

I know that with BMW, the addition of the Sports Package usually gets you black "shadowline" trim instead of chrome trim. That is most likely the explination of the BMW photos and could be the case for that Euro Accord picture? Who knows...
