Who decides what TSX color combos the dealers get? Is it up to the individual dealer to order what they want, or is it up to Acura? For instance, in my dealership, they mostly have NHB, CG, Milano Red, and a couple of SSM. There was just one MSM, but now it's gone. No ABP or PWP at all. Of the NHB, they are mostly with ebony interior, but rarely with parchment. Is it just the dealer's choice? Or how does it work?

From what little i know, the dealer 'orders' the cars they want (what they get can be completely different). For example, my dealer didn't order any manuals for February... but fortunately, i got in my order for a car in March. however... that's assuming that Honda decides to sent it this way...

I wish I knew. There is only 1 Acura dealer within 130 miles of me. You know how many TSX's they have? One! Yep, just one Nighthawk Black. Then there's 3-4 dealers that are roughly 130-150 miles away(Detroit and Chicago area's) that each have at least 5 TSX's on hand, including the color combo I want....SSM/AT/No Navi. Looks like I might just have to travel...

The dealers (salesman) order what they think they can sell.

I asked my sales guy today when I went in to sign some papers for my personalized plates and we got to talking about this exact topic. He says dealers will try and get what they think most people will want (obviously), but because of the limited availability of the TSX, Acura will give preference to dealers that have consistently gotten very good feedback from customers.

The GM does not order cars.

The New car sales manager order cars based on what are the most likely combos to sell or the most requested combos. If there are pending deposits for certain combos we order those first.
