Wheel lock
Hello, I have a 2004 TSX and my sister was driving it well she curb checked the hell out of the tire and it ripped from the sidewall. I go and check it out and I can't find the wheel lock, my question is what other alternatives do I have to get the wheel off. I called a few good friends of mine that own a tire shop and they said that I can break it off or just wait till tomorrow and get one from the dealer. If I can't find a solution before the end of the night I'm going to tow it. Thanks alot for your time.

If you have the OEM (McGard) locks, you can try to take an oversized screwdriver and a wrench and try to remove it that way.
If that doesn't work, take the same screwdriver and break the lock... then, upgrade to a set of Gorilla locks!
Good luck!

I was in a similar situation once.
Called McGard and explained to the rep your problem. For me, they have record of whom in my area they have sold a master set of keys to. You can try that. This didn't work for me because their record must have been dated.
After speaking with the McGard rep, she suggested that I snap a few digital photos of the lock and e-mail it to her. I did. Based on the photos, she send me a key (for ten bucks). It worked fine and what one huge relief.
Good luck, Molexus.

in the 24th and a half...
Your Acura dealer has a set of masters that will allow them to remove your wheel lock (if it is an Acura set by McGard) without damaging it. (Don't ask how I know )
Then you ship off a form to McGard to order a new one, and presto, it arrives pretty quickly.
Now, given that a "set of masters" can be used to remove any McGard lock (of, I assume, any given thread pitch and nut size) just how secure are these wheel locks? Is it gonna save your rims, or just keep honest people honest?
