What's the fastest you've driven your TSX?
I live in NY, and it's not easy to speed anywhere cuz of the many cars and cops. Well the other day when I was on the Long Island Expressway, the whole middle lane just emptied out for a good long distance, so I just though of testing my TSX a little bit, and I got to about a 105 mph and I stopped at that. That's the fastest you can even think about driving in NY. I was just curious if anyone has topped out or anythin?

Got it up over 120 driving from st. louis to chicago on I-55 once. I wanted to see if I could go faster but I was afraid if my stock all-season michelins were even rated at any higher speed. Are they? Anyhow, the car was very stable at that speed and noise from wind turbulence was remarkably low. I would say that wind noise at that speed was considerably lower than an E46 M3 and a B5 S4, but just a little noisier than a W211 E500. This car definitely has outstanding aerodynamics and sound insulation for it's class.

I've had the TSX to 120 several times and 131 once. The 131 was on a slight downgrade...I'd say 3-4% down.

Here's a quote referring to the TSX from my google search:
"Honda’s new-found interest in aerodynamics results in a drag coefficient of just Cd 0.26, placing it at the top of the D-segment in Europe. The aim of such wind-cheating properties is to deliver better refinement and improved fuel consumption. ." - cardesignnews.com
Whoa! No wonder it's so stable and relatively quiet at speed despite not having quite the sound insulation of the average german sedan. It must have taken Honda some damn good design and engineering hand-in-hand with lots of wind-tunnel testing to accomplish a ridiculously low Cd of .26! And this is a car that doesn't come with a rear deck spoiler, no extensive lower body treatments, or no significantly reduced ride height and ground clearance. Compare that to the smaller WRX STi with its monstrosity of a rear spoiler that can only manage a Cd of .33

I got mines upto 117mph on I-70 last summer. Yesterday passing Bloomington-Normal driving back from Chicago I reached upto 91mph, it was fun, but dangerous cuz it the roads were kinda messy with the slush and snow. Never going to do that in the winter again!
The TSX is so smooth at any speed, its sometimes hard to know your going that fast unless you look down!

I got mine up at about 135 mph with a lil' help from tail wind. I had to back out cuz i'm afraid of cops and I was driving in Ontario in my TSX which had Illinois plate on. It took me a while to reach 135 mph.

second night i had my car, i hit 143mph racing on the I-10 here in phoenix. the car wouldent go any faster, so i assume that the top speed is 143.
btw, i was running up on a BMW M3. i was going like 110 when he pulled up next to me, then we took off. the tsx can hang at high speed with m3's, but when i hit 143 and couldent go any more he kept pulling away.......
about 2 miles up the road i passed him as he was pulled over.......poor guy.

I hitted 215 km/h cruising with a lexus IS300 and an infinity G35.....but those car were definately faster...I was at the max...and both of the other had some pedal left...
btw....I think 215 km/h = 134 mph or so. This was on a plain highway, alone in the car, mid fuel tank, and maybe 0 Celsius outside (32 F ).
Wind noise was really low, engine noise was medium, and stability was great, but the best "fun zone" is between 45 MPH and 100 MPH...the second, third and fourth gear are really nice !

In Germany they have rules that speed is NO LIMIT unless it's writen so.
"Ich habe eine gute fahr eine monate weg :-))))"
I live in Slovenia but, still...On Slovenian highways speed limit is 130km/h (82 mph) but I usually drive +100mph....
On german higways it's very cool because if there is no limit everybody is driving from 100-120 mph...and if there is a sign for limit everybody just brake the limit down in few seconds...That's the german discipline !!!
So ....at the end I can tell you it's really cool. I drove my ex S2000 ...161 mph :-)))) in Germany and as well in Slovenia

Awesome, so top speed on this car is 143. The top speed on an Evo is 149 and not sure about a WRX, I think 145. These top speeds, is that because of the governor or is that just as fast as it can go? Most cars have something installed by the factory to limit its top speed.

This is a video that I made from our two days at California Motor Speedway during the Ride and Drive introduction, it is about 56 megs, so dial up users beware. It shows the cars on the track and in-car footage of two laps of the speedway track, too bad I wasn't driving. Old timers here have already seen it cause I made it just over a year ago but it shows 135 with the windows open!. Please right click and save:
