Overtaxed

Drove up first time to a fancy hotel where they park your car for you.

Bellboy (is that what you call them?) opened my trunk to take out my luggage. Never had that done before - how did he open my trunk?!

Said, "Excuse me, how did you open my trunk? I just got this car, not sure how these things work..."

Spontaneously, with a big smile (he was a cute guy too by the way), he replied
"Your car is beautiful..........."

I usually don't get compliments on my car, although I can see people looking.

Yesterday when I did my oil change, the service advisor was so excited to see that it's a manual with navi.

I got more compliments on my other cars than my TSX. A guy comes out of a house a few houses from where I was parked to tell me how shiny and red my Saab is. One time I was cleaning my accord, and a pedestrian walked by, admired my car, and asked if I was selling it. lol

My son remarked when he first seen it that the Sat Nav was cool, and proceeded to tell a few of his friends.

In traffic recently one morning, a taxi driver honked at me and asked me what the colour was when I wound the window down. "It's Indigo Blue Pearlescent" says I. "I'm getting a new cab, that's the colour I'll get it painted", says he - adding "It's a lovely colour".
So, I'll know if I see one the same colour as mine, it's him and he kept to his word.

i have the complete A-Spec package. I have only had the car 3 days, but i have already had a few people mistake it for the TL. All of my friends want new cars now- i guess i should thank the guys who stole and stripped my '95 civic.

just got my oil changed, the guys were all talking back and forth about the navi, tire size, etc. The first guy thought it was a TL.

SAME exact thing happened to me. I first went with my TSX and then came back later with my mother's TL. The guy said 'what? you guys have two TL's?'

I have my new TSX and these two things happened:

1. The insurance lady said: "Wow, you bought a TSX! Nice car!!"!

2. Another lady friend, just after seeing my car, gave me a very warm hug ;-). And don't even get me started on her reaction after I demo-ed her the voice recognition feature

at EPIC MOTORING, waiting for my HONDATAFIED car to come back

the employee who took my car to HONDATA actually brought his beautiful girl along, and the people around with their civics told me..." gee...he's probably going to a nice restaurant in that TSX"

and when he came back with my hondatafied tsx, I asked him how the hondata felt, whether it was done correctly or not...

he replied, " oh no...I wouldn't rev your expensive car, bro...you can go test drive yourself"

the last time I brought my car to a acura dealer for service (i usually do not go to this dealer) the service advisor complimented me on how well-maintained my car was. My neighbor always tells me that my car is so shiny and clean. it is milano red/ebony

Honestly, my tsx is nicer then most on the road and i have never gotten a complement on it...nor do i expect to really since it is not really a higher end car that I expect people to turn their heads for.

I've been driving a Porsche 911 Carerra for the last few days and that car gets looks. People rolls their windows down to compliment it, people stop and talk to me on my driveway and people stop at shopping malls to have a closer look. With this car I expect it, but with the tsx its just not expected nor does it really happen often.

gas attendant (yes in Oregon people pump our gas for us) said: "I love your ride, if I had one I'd drive it like I stole it" then I said "uhhh yeah" and quickly drove away lol

then in a parking garage guy with a 911 turbo says "nice car kid" at which point I said "nice car dude" and he laughed and we exchanged some car junkie talk and went on our ways

I have an '04 and I was giving a few guys a ride to lunch sometime last summer and they all said, "Brand new car...nice!". People are always commenting on how clean and new I keep my car looking.
