I think my favourite happend a few months ago. I was driving home from downtown and up ahead was a mom and her kids jaywalking. I slowly cruised along to let them cross. The boy (about 8yrs old) lingered behind, staring at my car as I drove past. After I passed, I heard him say "Oh cool! It's an Acura!" The future looks bright.

There was another time at a small outdoor car show (nothing too interesting, just an entrepreneurial project where manufacturers showed off their new/current models). I helped my gf make a bbq supply run, so I got to pull my car inside the gates. I took the opportunity to keep my car parked inside on the fringes of the show. It was great seeing all the people do walk-arounds of my car (it was locked).

My TSX does get a lot of compliments--mainly regarding how it looks... a lot of people really like the styling, and I agree. It is a beautiful car, understated but not boring. It is a classy car with very thoughtful lines.

the usual...

"beautiful car!!"
"how much was that?? looks expensive..."
"everything in here is STANDARD??"

my favorite was...
one of my friends underestimated the 200hp i-4, well, I also have the injen CAI and Greddy EVO 2, but once he drove my car...
"DAMN!!"

last but not least, while offensive to some...was a compliment to me...

"your lights blinds the sh%t out of me..."

I love HID

God bless

"The front looks really agressive"

"Sweet color" (CG)

when i brought it to my brother in laws house, he literally ran to it, jumped in and proceeded to do humping motions, while yelling "Awwww man I want your car!!"

My wifee "I'm glad we got this car, I love it, perfect choice" first day.

Even now, she still walks towards it sometimes "I love this car, it has character......now put the "A's" back now!"

Who else thinks its funnt that there are more replies to the "insults thread" than this compliments thread?

because in many cases, it is nicer in looks than those cars. i live in hoboken, and my royal blue pearl turns heads all the time, and shortly after i moved into my new apartment building, one of the spots in the garage was filled with a white 2006 TSX! thats a nice compliment (maybe they were already planning on getting it, but til then, i was the only TSX on my block (and still one of the few 2006s in Hoboken).

Yesterday after work I just got finished washing the TSX in my driveway and was watering the front yard when a middle aged couple passed by. They paused at my driveway and were pointing and talking and I thought they were looking at my garage door. I asked them what was up. The lady turned around and said that she owned a 96 TL, she was thinking about upgrading to a MB500, and then asked me if my Acura was a brand new model. She said she'd never heard of a TSX.

I thought this was a double compliment, (a) she thought my 2004 was clean enough to be brand new, and (b) from a first impression she thought it was on par with an MB500.

I had my dad's TL the other night because it was raining out and I don't drive my TSX in the rain. 3 of my friends each said that they liked the interior of my TSX better and thought that it felt more spacious than the TL. I took that as a big compliment.

Hehe, my gf sometimes calls my car her headlights. When I'm driving behind her, my headlights overpower her's and light the road ahead more.

Then he corrected himself and said that, of course, he meant he'd buy it and asked how much I'd sell it for! I told him he could give me $1000 for it in 2015 and he looked like he wanted me to take him back home so he could figure out how many lawns that comes out to.

I've gotten a similar one. My daughter laughs and laughs in the back seat when I accelerate onto a highway or something, with the CAI growling at full blast, and then she makes "vroom vroom" noises (she's three).

Then she informs my wife that she and daddy went racing on the way to the store or wherever. My wife, you can imagine, gives me her opinion of racing around with my daughter (which I do not) and of all that "horsepower crap" I'm "always" installing.

In late 2005 I had an older man (50+) say it was a nice car and ask if it was the new RL before he got into his A8L parked next to my TSX. I thanked him and then corrected him.

A few days ago, I was filling up next to a 06 545i. Guy said he loves Acuras and said 'that thing takes premium right?' Then we got into talking about gas prices and he mentioned they were way too high. To which I said 'if you can afford a 545i, gas prices should be the last thing on your mind'

I always love how when ppl sit in my car and declare it to be brand new. Makes me want to clean it more often than I do now

Thats funny. My daughter kinda does the same when I take a turn fast. To make it even more fun for me, when my wife and daughter are in the car, I like making my daughter giggle and say 'go faster!', and my wife say 'dude, why are you driving so fast?' at the same time. Cracks me up.

Actually, today some dude was chamoi-ing (ya I can't spell) his brandy new Saab 9.3 next to me at the car wash. Just then the car wash manager walked up all "sweet car" and then the 9.3 guy came over and started with wow are those stock rims, did it come with the spoiler, nice door handles, leather, etc...wow this is really sweet, etc....he was all over it. probably some patronization here and there...I have to admit I am a 9.3 fan...his was pretty darn cool itsself...good feeling though.

Between that and what my girl thought after driving some VW's yesterday I am pretty validated in my Acura purchase.

My 5 year old really liked my friend Chad's TL, when i got the TSX he looked at it and said "wow dad you got a car just like Chad's- cool". He also likes it when I run it up to red line because it sounds like a race car.

My first ever compliment was when I first got my car and went to go get it insured. My insurance agent mentioned that those are nice cars and that was the same car she wanted. Also driving around town, I get quite a few stares from others.

1) "Nice Car" at SeaTac International Airport

2) "TSX has awesome handling!" by some Ricers at Axiom Motorsports while Jun was installing my coilovers

3) "Is that a TL?" From a tech at Europa Auto Detail Shop. I guess he only worked with BMW's Audi's etc.

I got a real good compliment the other day a real pretty girl said that my TSX looked okay for having such a big fat-ass ugly old nasty guy sitting in it. Her friend said that she wanted to throw up when she saw me but the TSX would make a good vomit bag if it was a different color. I was going to ask her out but I couldn't get out of the door very fast, what with the gangrenous leg and palsy and the boils on my neck and back were hurtin real bad but not as bad as that big old fart i let right then. They done walked off all snooty-like as if i weren't good enough for thems.

The guys who installed the XM and iPod in my '04 made me come back, because they scheduled me for a 1 hour installation time, and they said "We need to take some time and do this right in such a sweet car." Then when I dropped it off again, they couldn't stop talking about how much they liked it. This is a completely stock car, in Dec of '04.

Oh, and everyone who gets in it STILL remarks on how it looks "brand new," and then I show them the odometer with 52k miles on it

The best I have got so far are...

"It is very responsive..... it is picking up the speed fast when getting onto the highway"
"nice color"---- mine is a Graphite Grey one.
"better in value than the bimer & Mercades"
"Good choice, a sporty sedan"

my 06 PWP TSX w/nav+a-spec body kit was standing next to my friend's 06 silver Audi 2.0T, 06 black MB c230 Sport w/nav/xenon, 06 white IS250 AWD w/nav.

everyone actually admitted my car looks luxury inside (thanks wooden Parchment leather ^^ with two tone interior and nice perforated leather than MB c230 and Audi 2.0T

the rear ass was bigger than C230, roomy in the back than Audi A4.

the realiability of Acura...compared to MB c class and Audi

the front area was MUCH bigger than IS250, MUCH better stock 17 rims that go so well with TSX body..especially with a-spec body kit....than IS250 stock rims...

gas mileage... i had 33.1mpg on my monitor...
