What is it with stupid people and new cars?

I've had my CG for 12 days and some a#%%@!^ manages to clip the rear end backing out of a parking space. I was at least 4' away so I knew they weren't going to ding my doors, I wasn't expecting them to hit me. Gouged the bumper cover and cracked the tabs that hold it in (on the side below the turn signal).

grrrrr

Unfortunately not. Came out to see white paint on my bumper and the top pulled out ~half an inch.

Sorry to hear about it.

Maybe instead of "Beware of April" or "Beware of May" we should just sticky a "Watch out for your TSX" thread!

Sorry to hear that happened to you! Same thing happend to me before I even had it a month. Only difference is the jackass hit me pulling into the spot and still parked there. I posted pics and the whole story some where here if you search. I think the title was "My first accident" or "first scratches"?

These people should be shot! :sqntfawk:

One more reason to park FAR FAR AWAY from ANYTHING with wheels...
I am starting to park close to dumpsters/cardbord-crusher, mostly in the back of the plazas,

be forwarned - a big, heavy, clumsy vehicle with TSX-destroying arms comes to pick those up from time to time...

Even parking far away doesn't help sometimes. It seems that idiots are attracted to shiny new things in the parking lot and even if there are rows and rows of empty spaces, some idiot wants to park right next to your new car. It happened to me yesterday at Targhetto, damn near empty lot and I'm parked a good 60 yards from the store and a Ford Explorer parks right next to me.

My old Integra had its whole driver-side door smashed in a couple of years ago. The f'd up thing was that I was parked in a private garage for my apartment complex, so it had to be one of my neighbors. They didn't leave a note or anything. Just [Crunch], "Oops....maybe I should park over there". I even thought I knew which car did it, but I couldn't really prove it.

Know what ? I'd rather take that chance than having some old junk parking next to me.
The guys driving those "clumsy vehicle with TSX-destroying arms" drive for a living, heck they are likely better and more careful drivers than most people on this forum.

Though they do drive for a living, do you think that they never get into accidents? I respect their ability but would never park my car next to a dumpster, why tempt fate?
