What are some mandatory factory accessories for the Tsx?

what mandatory factory accessories would u buy for your Tsx?

i'm saving up for Fogs myself, but not sure still if i need that or not. i mean if i spent $500 to buy them, will having fogs have any factor to the resale value of the Tsx in the future? i have a feeling no.

i just know u guys would say the most extravagent accessory one would buy for the Tsx would be that rear dvd entertainment system. dumb waste of money there right?

The fogs are practically useless with the HIDs, I doubt they will add much to the resale. You're prob better off getting the factory spoiler or body kit (if you're into that look). I'm just glad the fogs were free as part of the deal, cuz I don't notice much of a difference with them on...other than I get flashed less.

As for the rear DVD...if you have kids who bicker all the time or get restless on long trips to see relatives, the DVD system may just save you enough sanity to deal with the in-laws! Well worth the money IMHO, especially since it's factory-backed.

I purchased the TSX with no factory options. All the dealership did was send the car out for tint.

After the original sale on the TSX I added:
Trunk Liner Tray
All Season Mats
Moon Roof Visor
Mud Guards (coming off today for Kit)
OEM Fog Lights (my install)
OEM Kit (my install today)
OEM Silver Star Wheels

Even with Hoen bulbs, my fogs are pretty much useless. I like the appearance of them though, everyone has their own opinion. I really like the trunk tray, and it works great for protection. The OEM All Season mats leave a lot to be desired, but they do protect better that the original mats.

I cannot think of any other options right now that I would want. If an OEM trunk "lip" spoiler is ever released, I would get that. I like the DVD system, but a lot of work to install and it is not exactly cheap either.

No. Get the trunk tray and some all-season floormats. It may be too late for the floormats to do you any good, but I love mine.

Yes, Winter mats are a must in the Northern Cliamtes, in fact I use mine all year round. Truck tray is another must for an active lifestyle. I always have crap in my trunk, its great. Can't beleive how many people after seeing the trunk tray say "what a great idea, I have to get one".

I want fogs, for no other reason than I can't stand the way the black plastic looks in their place.

:P

I got the mud guards (free they were on the car allready when they transferred it to the dealer)
I got wheel locks (free again allready on the car when they transfered it)

I paid for the interior protectant.. I have the ebony interior and after only having the car for a few days you could start seeing dirt on the matts (they hadnt put it on yet) so it may be a big margin item for the dealer but hey... if there is something on my floor matts they cant get out I get new ones..

I got the mp3 player although i was sad to find out it doesnt do the titles but once i found out that it treats folders like discs I'm cool with it..

I decided against the fog lights. I think the nice lil plastic fill / fins in there stock look nicer then that ghetto black piece of tacky plastic they put around the 'stock' ones.. Plus they wont go on with your parking lights and they arent like most fog lights where you can leave the switch on and they go on every time you turn on the headlights... So with that, I said f the fog lights.

Someone gave you the wrong info. If you leave the fogs in the on position they will come on everytime you turn on the headlights. I personally think they look better then the fake grilles.

The mandatory accessories for me were:
Rubber Mats
Trunk Mat
Cargo net
Foglights
Bra (only for trips)
Moonroof visor (only for trips)
tint (although it's not from acura.)

What exactly is the dealer cost price for the bodykit?

For me I opted for the all seasons, the locks, and the trunk tray. I wish they had a cargo net that laid flat like in the A4 and the 350Z. I hear the 350Z cargo net fits, but I haven't seen pics so I can't say if its loose or not.

shouldn't be too hard.

I probably wouldn't have bothered if we didn't get snow here.

I live in NH and purchased the all-season mats on my own. Given the amount of snow, sand, and salt I drag into the car daily I am grateful for having made the purchase. I think I'm probably going to swap the regular mats back in once the season is over. They look MUCH nicer than the all-season mats.

hm. tough call. i like the way the front looks with fogs, but only when they are off. when HIDs are on and the yellow fogs are on, it looks hideous to me. i guess lexus engineers/designers felt the same, since they have yellow fogs instead of halogen. looks a bit better. when you swap the bulbs to hyperwhites, they look much much better. oem body kit is nice, but i think it sorta gives a "4x4" look... you absolutely need to lower the car with the kit, imo.

btw, i know the kit costs around 900 from hondacuraworld.com. but if you were to get it through your dealership, how much would it differ?
